Glock 17 Poor quality barrel finish. Worse customer service.

I wasn’t going to post my maximum handling capacity on the Internet for all to see! LOL! But yeah, 40 seems like hoarding!

Ironman and Jimbo14 were ranked very high after they shot the Postal Match in Feb. They’ve been watching their rankings sink ( slowly!) as more and more shooters report in!

Those of us who shoot ARs in 2G are very familiar with the height over bore issue! You learn very quickly. Have fun rebluing your CZ!

Unless you get creative the US shooters have a bit of an advantage given they don't have to do reloads on a few of the stages. To rank at all is quite an achievement in itself. I expect to be mid mediocre for my classification. Maybe even high mediocre. LOL It will be fun to get out though.

Still Alive

380 million people in North America are under house lock down, the stock market just dropped 30%, hospitals are about to run out of much need gowns and masks in the US and 700 is worrying about barrel wear on his Fnnnnn Glock. Has he noticed there is a reason traffic is lighter now on his daily commute, or he doesn't have to feel guilty about not giving up his seat to a lady on the bus these days? I am surprised nobody has told him he paid to much for his Glock 17. $900 bucks really for a Glock 17. I must be getting old. LOL

This truly is a 1st world problem.

Good thing we all have a sense of humour. Hell you and I are just a cough a way from checking out 40 virgins and he is worrying about bluing wear on his Glock. You gotta love the young with all their problems.

I need another cup of coffee.

Be safe my friend.

Bob

I know it has been asked numerous time, but I repeat: CGN need a like button for post like theses.

Also: G17 = combat pistol, not collector piece.

Thank-you.

Don't say things like this he did pay $900 for his G17. His might be a collectors piece. Tenda has them on for $780. $900 makes his at least a collector piece wannabe.

Well, $780+ taxes = about $900 easy.

But it’s still a Glock. Considering they go for $600 with extras and in great shape on the EE, that’s a lot of money that could have gone to ammo.

Bob, don’t the Yanks still shoot 10+1 for IDPA? Or do they get to use full cap?

Per the IDPA RB Appendix B for PCC. The maximum mag limit is 30 rounds. Note: not 30 rds plus one in the chamber but 30 rds maximum. You can have the 30 rds in 3 10 rd mags if you want and can store them on your belt or anywhere you want. See Appendix B Rule 10
"Maximum is 30 rounds per magazine. Shooters are allowed to load magazines with less than 30 rounds at their choosing. Shooters may use standard size pistol magazines on stages in lieu of 30 round magazines."

Another rule shooters up here should note is Appendix B Rule 1.1.C "Rifles permitted for use in PCC must 'Designed to be fired from the shoulder and have a shoulder stock installed'" You cannot say, install a pistol brace on your pistol then shoot it one handed off the shoulder. That would offend this rule and get you either a 3 second or 10 second penalty depending on the advantage gained.

I guess we have managed to drift off the OP's first post but then he got his answer several posts ago.

ps I can't imagine paying $900 for a G17 when you can buy a M&P FS Gen2 for $499.
