So, you decided to clean your pistol eh? WARNING GRAPHIC IMAGES!

I’ve used wipeout in many a guns, some sat 48 hours when I got busy. I’ve never had this occur. My guess is wipeout knocked crud out of the pits doing its job and that wipeout wasn’t the culprit

You're supposed to clean your pistols?:stirthepot2:
See that's where you went wrong. Looked fine, until you cleaned it!
Kind of wonder if maybe some of the ammunition used was a bit on the corrosive side... Or it could be environment related.

Oh yes I am 100% certain this is the case as it's never damaged any of my rifles and infact I use it exclusively for the fact you dont have to use a preservative after.

I have seen pictures of a surplus pre B cz 85 barrel ... lots of rounds down it ..has cleaning rod scratches down the barrel ... some flame heat cracking .. that still shoots ok

Used pistol to you? I would think it was that way and lead smoothed everything out. bad when new?
Wipout , or cleaners are not going to do that to a barrel, old Milt. ammo I could see in some old Hi power or whatever.

My guess would be that someone along the line was using corrosive ammo , and not cleaning the pistol ; which is probably why a regular cleaning would not remove the lead build up . Then with the soak , the built up lead washed away revealing a pitted barrel caused by corrosive ammo .

I have never seen or heard of corrosive 9MM ammo. The gun is only 4 years old and in circulation for less than that. I have no idea what caused it but I would rule out corrosive ammo, powder or bullets. The OP mentioned leading. Were the lands and grooves both heavily leaded? I have seen leading in the grooves before but never deposited on the lands. Surely he would have seen the cracks before he applied the cleaning agent overnight. I never have used the stuff or felt I had the need for same. What do the instructions for the application of the product say?

Take Care

Hey , I’m the seller,
That pistol had about 800 rnds through it , before I sold it to a friend.
Mostly campro loaded with tight group.
A handful of powder coated also.
I gave up on the PC as I was having FTF issues .

I then sold it to a friend, who put a few hundred rnds through it and then it sat in his cabinet for a few years.
I then bought it back from him, didn’t fire it and decided I wanted to try something different.

45c and everyone else: I'm not complaining that I got hosed or wanting to throw blame anywhere. I don't want anyone to feel bad... even if your gun might be secretly rusting away as we speak!!! I did not pay top dollar for this pistol. This is just a show and tell post.. get people thinking.

When I first got the gun I feild stripped and inspected it. There was nothing out of the ordinary. The barrel looked normal inside and out, and I was going to bring it to the range in a few days other than wiping down the slide and frame rails and oiling it I determined it was good to go and was quite pleased with my purchace.

Hey JD , I didn’t post to defend my sale, I know your not trying to lay blame.
I’m curious to what happened as well.

It’s all good, but as I said , I fully understand if you wanted a refund.
That crap in the barrel looks Fuced.. lol

Thats interesting on brand new cz's having apparent 'damage' maybe the factory got ahold of some ww2 surpluss hahaha. My chamber is smooth and spotless so it's not to unrealistic that the blank looked like this after the hammer forging process.

Ive never cleaned guns xcept for MLs with hot water + soap. Especially pistols shooting ball. Not needed, were not in the jungle nor sand.
