For Immediate Release! CSAAA- Shotgun ban!!

The bore is < 20mm, except the last couple of inches. This seems like an unnecessary exaggeration?

The OIC states:

Also included are two new categories of firearms that exceed safe civilian use. These are characterized by the following physical attributes: a 20 mm bore or greater (e.g. grenade launcher) and the capacity to discharge a projectile with a muzzle energy greater than 10 000 joules (e.g. a .50 calibre BMG). These weapons are primarily designed to produce mass human casualties or cause significant property damage at long ranges, and the potential power of these weapons exceeds safe or legitimate civilian use.

The AND here is crucial. So unless your 12 gauge can also discharge a projectile over 10 000 joules it is still legal

You are reading from the description and not the legal sections...

Wrong. Their is no AND, they are on seperate lines of the document.

If had an AND, then how did they ban the 50 BMG

.50" < 20mm

That's the definition of two categories...not characteristics of a single category.

the Liberals specifically designed this legislation to not "Bite off more than they can chew". Why don't you think they didn't OIC all guns right off the bat? Because the outrage would be massive. They understand they need to dismantle civilian gun ownership, piece by piece.

The Liberals made several big mistakes in this legislation. If we can make this blow up, even if it's at our own peril temporarily, it's huge for us.

The fact that half this thread is responding with outrage directed towards the CSSA instead of the LPC is really concerning.

Just joined NFA and CCFR. Other two websites CSAAA and CSSA down. will be signing up once they are back up and running. I would like to see unite here! One strong united group would be better though, More money and more results if they united.

Sounds like a lot of fudds are in denial over the thought of having their precious shotguns being caught up in a gun ban! LOL

Hah! To any of you newcomers experiencing being affected by a gun ban for the first time, here’s a little tip. There are 5 distinct stages you should be aware of:

1. Pissed off
2. Pissed off
3. Pissed off
4. Pissed off and finally...
5. Pissed off

Edited for size.

In order to reach the choke opening the projectile must travel through the barrel which is narrower. Shouldn't the smaller diameter of the two count as the bore diameter?
