Trudeau and Blair BAN 12 Gauge and 10 Gauge SHOTGUNS!

Well I guess I am a super criminal after having 2 safes worth of extra scary guns now, it wasn't bad enough with just one safe!!

i dont know if my ACOG will be a good fit for my Red Ryder but you never know. i hope Doug ford decides to run he has shown amazing leadership and flexibility when necessary as well as balls when necessary. my gun collection is turning into a safe full of paperweights and we still havent seen the end of it

any shotgun with REMOVEABLE CHOKES .... THE REMOVABLE CHOKE IS NOT PART OF THE BARREL ie your bore diameter is over 20mm.

Over the years since the 70’s all the “duck hunters, trapshooters, hunters” or do I dare use the word Fudds have told me with spittle out their mouths that handguns, black guns, assault rifles have no use what so ever as far as they were concerned and don’t care if they get banned. Which I replied that if the guns that I have and enjoy get banned then don’t expect any help from me when they come from yours.
Most of them just smirked even though I also own the same firearms as they do.
If this is indeed true then the shoe is on the other foot and even though I said I wouldn’t I still will try to fight for ALL gun owners regardless of what they choose to have. But it does give me satisfaction seeing some of the same ones squirming and whining now.
 
The choke being removed doesnt make the bore a usable 20mm. The last 3" of the bore is cut out to fit the choke sleeve. The bore leading up to that cut out is still the caliber size.

Really putting the horse before the cart on this one. Choke installed or not, the USABLE bore size, the size that the projectile needs to be to fit down the bore from the breech end, is legal. Cut the muzzle out to 50mm....doesnt make the bore of the rifle capable of shooting a 50mm projectile.
 
There is no reasonable scenario where the diameter of the bore is measured with a choke installed. Unless maybe if the choke was welded into place. If there was, it would mean any rifle that should be included in "bore of more than 20mm" could be threaded and a device inserted to render their bore less than 20mm would be taken off the list. Basically, measuring the bore diameter of a firearm with a removable device installed would completely cancel the very concept of bore diameter.

Feel free to cut a few inches of your 12G/10G barrels or use your 16G/20G/410.

And yes, this is what happens when someone with almost zero knowledge of a technical subject writes a far-reaching regulation on a sunday afternoon. We have parliaments for a reason, and this is one of them.
 
On a side note, the debate is a bit rhetorical. At the end of the day, some shotgun gets banned. Anything 9G or larger (I just checked, and it seems 8G shotguns exists, although they are rather expensive), even with choke inserted, is more than 20mm.

Heck, a 10G is 19.69mm, so a 10G that would be even slightly out of spec would be prohibited. Who wants to bet a few years of jailtime that their 10G is less than 0.3mm within spec?
