The OIC has hit milsurps

No. I expect nothing of the kind from our friends in Ottawa - of any political stripe.

If you're going to get bent out of shape over a paltry $300 one time yax free payment to OAS recipients (money THEY contributed over a lifetime), you must be losing sleep over the handouts to Bombardier and other big businesses.

Not to mention the billions to the inept WHO and other agencies and favourites of the Liberals.

Wealth re-distribution to friends and connections. Vindictive, punitive actions taken against others. Yes, diversity and intentionally created division is something to behold. You question or disagree and you're labeled as dangerous and wrong. Oh this country is in trouble.

"Globalism" in action.

Dissent is punishable. The only people who can be insulted, vilified, castigated, ridiculed are gun owners.

Make that NON-VIOLENT, NON-CRIMINAL gun owners.

The violent, criminal ones get free lawyers and, if they ever do go to jail, get let out early for one "reason" or another.

WE are scum, it seems...... quite unlike the American HEROES who fought against tyranny in 1775 et seq.

It all has to do with who has access to the MEDIA.

The American heroes that fought in the Revolution were regarded as "scum" by the Brits. The signers of the Declaration of Independence were signing their own death warrants had they lost.

And except for the underground pamphlets, the Brits controlled the media. Publishing and distributing anti-government literature was treason.

The difference is that the Americans had the balls to stand together and defy the government.

Mauser m1908 Brazilian is on the list. Though it says 460wby. I wonder how far they will be stretching "capable of...". Apparently m1908 is capable of producing enough energy to make libs scared.

In that case, the action has been used in custom projects, and someone added a 460 barrel to it. It is only with the 460 barrel that it becomes prohibited. Mind you, since the action is capable of handling that caliber, it may only be a matter of time before the lab decides to prohibit all of them.

I wish it could work in reverse, and that I could put a .338 barrel onto a Boys rifle and make it exempt.

That's exactly my point. Not like it matters in this whole chitstorm. Libs with RCMP FRT went full retard with banning shotguns as variants of AR15.

Yup. Can also cut the barrel and make it prohib. But, the narrative is fear right now. Round up the Fudds lol.

PolySou has sent a letter to Blair demanding the SKS be added to the prohib list.
No milsurp is safe. They were all built for armies. It was a huge jump to go from an AR to a shotgun with a black stock but they’ve done it nonetheless. It’s less of a jump to go from ARs to any semi auto milsurp.

I got hit with 12.6 and 12.3s to my collection 25 yrs ago - that was bad. It was never repealed. I am still bitter and sore from that one.

I hope milsurp collectors will join in the legal challenges with sport shooters. If anything we have the most to lose, our collections are based on less precise valuations so we could potentially be bamboozled with the buy back. And I don’t want anymore grandfathered guns. We also have more emotionally invested. I will have a heart attack if I see my favourite milsurps that took me decades to find only end up in the smelter.

What is needed is a national day of protest where tens of thousands of (NO - HUNDREDS of thousands!) gun owners show up at their local ranges with their banned/prohibited guns.

Two suitable dates come to mind - July 1st and May 1st. I believe I don't have to explain the significance of either date.

If we don't take such direct action, we acquiesce yet again, telling JT we go along with his disarmament agenda without so much as a whimper.

At this point, it's MUCH more than the guns that are at stake. It's our chance to restore democracy in Canada, something generations of Canadians fought and died for.

I don't believe that I am overstating this.

Exactly! That is one of the likely actions the government will take. You didn't think it would not generate a reaction, did you?

Tell me - of what use are your guns to you right now? Your investment in guns, accessories, reloading, all for naught. "Buy back" for pennies on the dollar? With your own tax dollars? If you believe that you also believe in the Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny.

Shutting down all the ranges will not only get the attention of EVERY gun owner, but that of any critical thinkers left in the country.

That also means that the rcmp has no place to shoot either, as most rent civilian ranges.

When I lived in Merritt, BC, Bob Turple, the BCPFO shut down our range as we allegedly had a 'shoot over' possibility into Crown land and a logging road. He likewise padlocked the Ashcroft range for the same treason. We asked the local rcmp if they were aware of any such incident as they were the ones who gave us our range approval.

They said there was no such history or complaint. I asked what they would do if we cut the lock. Answer - nothing. So I cut the lock (the club exec were too chicken) and it was covered by the local paper. Ashcroft followed suit. There were no repercussions.
