Update On Ontario Restricted Transfer Times

Yes, issued today. From April 6, from dealer in AB to private ON (new gun if some people think it makes a difference...).

Im waiting on 2 from last month... so frustrating. They could just delay forever and be like "we arent politically motivated, but we arent efficient either"

waiting on one since MARCH 2nd
another MARCH 9th
another MARCH 12
after calling Ford and got the dodge
called cfo ontario 7,200 behind wow now that is back log
and a shame to us firearms owners here in ontario
we did noting wrong
we don't deserve this

As Canadians we should be used to waiting in lines. ;)
My wait back in March was 42 days (30 business days).
It does seem to be getting worse.

Already vetted daily, how can it be explained taking this long for a simple transfer?

Check RCMP site, RPAL is valid, approved, next...
One person could burn through 300 per day

Politics seem to be at play... we need to completely overhaul the CFO office.

Imo you have an issue beyond the wait times, their processing is well past all of those dates.

Absolutely

Where do you guys call to check on your transfers? I've never called before, I've got 3 transfers waiting and think I should try it for the first time. Dialed 1-800-731-4000, but didn't see an option. Do you press "0" and stay on hold until they pick up?

I always thought one of the options was to check on the progress of transfer.

Wait for the new COVID-19 announcement in english and french to be done...then press 1, then 4, then 2...you might be waiting for a bit tho and/or hung up on.

They’re starting April 1st transfers. Currently backlogged over 6600 transfers.

They've been saying that for a week. The other thing I'm not happy about is I purchased from Ellwood Epps on Mar. 24 but the CFO says my application wasn't submitted until Apr. 3. That's a lot of lost time NOT getting in line that was avoidable.

That's why when you order at the same time you ask them to send you the reference number. No number, you know they haven't submitted it yet.

Next morning after I made my purchase on April 9, I called in with my REF # and asked them to email my confirmation. I’ve been told by my retailer this can possibly make it faster.
This was the one and only time I called in during the entire waiting period
