Update On Ontario Restricted Transfer Times

Private sale from BC.
Transfer confirmation phone call made on Apr 16th.
Still nothing.

From reading the thread, hopefully will hear something in the next couple weeks
 
I am in Ontario. It took 2.5 months to finalize a transfer of a restricted to my son (he still lives with us, so the gun stays in the house) Two and a half months for a couple of check marks in the freaking database!
 
Purchased a Glock 48 on 31 March. I’m still waiting as of today, 16 June. I think it all boils down to our liberal dictatorship. The little boy leader is scared of guns. Therefore no one should have them.

I've been waiting since the end of April, and I know this "backlog" is because of the ban and all the extra transfers going on. See they could probably clear through their extra load pretty easily, just like they could easily clear through their regular workload, but they need to justify their existence and if they worked too fast they'd put themselves out of a job.
 
I called the ON-CFO this morning to check the status of a transfer initiated on April 27 (AB to ON) and was told they are currently processing transfers that were initiated on April 16.
 
Thanks for the info! I wish I could give them a call during their business hours but I’m always not available to.

You can always email them with your reference number. They are pretty good at replying. I even had a response on a Sunday. mailto:CFOON@cfp-pcaf.ca
