Dominion Powders Now Available

Does D5744 work well (good ignition, good burn, minimal smoke) with reduced loads?

I'm looking for something I can use with powdercoat/gascheck bullets in service rifle calibres.

Tons of data for it in the 4th Edition Lyman Cast bullet handbook. I have 10 lbs ordered to try.

Anyone else try da4064 ssc in a 308 win, more specifically with 180gr bullets? I have read imr4320 report with 168gr bullets. I want to keep the accuracy/velocity i have with 180's.

I have found D4198 to be a laser with 55gr campro 223rem
22.7gr bolt guns only load
3180fps

I have some D8208BR still testing seems fast in my 308 win

and have D4350SSC on the way

75gr Berger VLD Fiocchi Brass 2.39" oal 23" barrel
24.8gr D4064SSC 2830 fps
24.8gr Varget 2910 fps

Is the D4350 similar to IMR or Hodgdon?

My experience shows it's slower like a 4831 or RL 19. Go through this thread there are a few comparison tests.

Did a comparison of D4064 to IMR4064 in 308 Win

Took me most of the day!

This is a known safe load in my rifle. Use at own risk.

All charges were thrown on a Chargemaster and checked against a 5-0-2 scale.
All other weights are using the Chargemaster.
All cases full sized and trimmed to 1.995+-
One shot every 2 minutes and allowed to fully cool between batches.

Both shot a consistent 7/8" 3 shot groups. I had the crappy bench today wasn't very comfortable.

I tried to keep this as consistent as possible with weighing all components.

So is this powder Faster? Slower? Or pretty much the same?

Less than 1% difference in velocity.

I will do the same with D4895 against IMR and Varget.
Might do the D4350 also.

Thanks for the test Ruger007. Looks like those 4064 powders are nearly identical, maybe the d4064 is a touch slower. Was the grain size of the imr 4064 a longer stick compared to d4064ssc?

ok so if my brains working properly here the D4895 is like imr4895 and seems like something id try in my 45-70. what would y'all recommend in the 30-06 something like 4064?

4064 would work well for 150-165 gr bullets in the 30/06. Heavier bullets probably 4350, but I haven't tried it.
