remember, this was the polish resistance. they were told the red army would be there shortly to help, and they started actively fighting. the soviets waited until the uprising had been mostly crushed before moving in. they didnt want a bunch of armed resistance types to still be alive when they came in to occupy the place as the new oppressors

Uprising was organized and led by Government of the Republic of Poland in exile via Polish Underground State supported by British and US. Russians had own vision for the post war Poland, with Polish Committee of National Liberation in power, and would not support uprising. Roosevelt and Churchill knew that, but still push uprising forward and Poles got screwed, again.

Just something else politicians/bureaucrats should be able to be charged with and appear before the world court.

In today's progressive world there is only one opinion allowed, all others will be shamed, silenced and crushed. Legality and due process...? Historical reality...? Truth...? Not if it gets in the way of puritanical progressivism. The Salem witch hunters were rank amateurs compared to this bunch.

You don't often see the United Defense Model 42.The single stack magazine is sometimes confused for a Thompson XX but holds 25 rounds of 9mm. The double magazine is actually quite manageable. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to shoot one at an event in Ohio some years ago. It was one slick little firearm.
