Update On Ontario Restricted Transfer Times

It was Alberta to Ontario. I believe the sender province is irrelevant in terms of wait times, I think it’s up to the buyers province to complete the final approval.

Could be wrong though.

You are correct. The sellers province completes the transaction. Ontario is getting better but is still has one of the longest wait times in the country.

Funny, I was told yesterday by a large Ont. Gun Store that restricted transfers are taking them approx. 3 weeks. Does the CFO give certain stores preferential treatment?

Some Businesses seem to not get the transfer notice when it is completed. Speaking with the rcmp, they said the notice is only given to the businesses, personal experience, bought one from my range aug 31, and was approved sept 12, range didn’t get the notice so we re waiting on the paper registration in the mail.

I bought sig 22 pistol from Al Flahertys last Wednesday the 16th, they said likely 2 weeks for the transfer.
They called me on Monday 21 paperwork was ready and to p/u the gun.
4 days and another gun to the collection.

Yeah that happened to me. I bought a consignement from Target mid July, was approved in August but no one knew until I received the letter in the mail.
