same load different groups???

Perfect. Now increase the neck tension or crimp them.

I'm not meaning to argue but I have issues with guys speaking in absolute terms. None has even said what powders they are using but you say neck tension or crimp doesn't affect ballistics. Based on... Your little bit of testing?? With how many powders? Which powders?

To the OP, if your old load was towards the end of a node, new powder and or brass may put you behind or ahead of the shooting node and into a scatter node. Just retest.

Sorry trapoholic
No worries

Reworking as we speak

So you're using two different lot numbers of the same brass with two different charge weights and getting the same accuracy and velocity? Am I interpreting that correctly?

I got my Nosler brass from loaded Trophy Grade ammo. I bought 5 boxes on sale that were cheaper than buying the components separately. Didn't think about checking lot numbers until I started troubleshooting poor accuracy in my reloads. The end result was almost 2 grains of powder difference for the same speed.

I gave up on that and ended up using one lot of brass for 160 gr Accubonds and the other for 150 gr Accubonds LRs.

I couldn't believe the lot to lot variance in the Nosler brass. Very consistent within the same lot though.

Lapua is great brass but for a hunting rifle you can do just fine with W-W or Remington. No need to get carried away here.
