Type 81, market futures

Red line go up. It’s genius. Real investor guru stuff, lol.

It will go up as long as demand is there, or until the fed steps in and turns the value to zero. If you bought a type 81, because you wanted a type 81, then you aren’t stuck with it. If you bought several with the intent to flip them and can’t move them, and don’t shoot them, then you are stuck housing them. A few milsurps of mine have gone up 100% or more since I bought them, but I still have them because “investing” is not the reason I bought them.

Scalpers are still scummy though.

I look at this a whole different way.

All retailers are struggling.

They took a risk and brought in something cool, it sold out right away!
They now have $$ in the business account, they can pay staff, keep the lights on and generally stay in business another season.

yah it sucks that people are trying to flip stuff and make a big profit, but at least you will still have retailer in business to go back to.

i dont care you buy guns to shoot. i buy to shoot certain guns while i collect/invest others. collecting/invest is not stuck housing them, people collect all sort of things, big things, deactivated things and some, their value never go up but they still enjoy collecting them.
if my value increases then its a bonus. like i said, i collected/invested in those 4 sks-d and entire set of russain sks (see my sticky), i barely shot them cos they were too valuable to me. they are all gone now but im sure most of those buyers who i sold to shot them to hell, to each his own.

To you it's not, to others it is. Fill 'yer boots, as they say.

I have two safes, if I wanted to buy in bulk, then I am limited space for guns I actually shoot. The rest of the storage is taken up by other hobbies. Buying equities is easier and takes up less room, they fit in my pocket on my cellphone, and they have bigger returns than buying up a crate of rifles here and there.

I am specifically referring to people who bought up Type 81's, or the kind of people who scoop up limited supplies with the intent of selling it back to their fellow 'nutters at a much inflated price. It does not require a useful skill, you (or they, in this case) simply got in line sooner and bought out the people behind them. It's the same thing scalpers do, and I don't encourage that type of behavior by giving those people money. They are no different in concept from the people who went around to stores in January buying up all the hand sanitizer and masks. Behavior like that got people kicked out of medieval towns because humans know it intrinsically as selfish.

They will be among the last to get banned. The feds want to destroy local producers first then they can just shut off imports at will. Please Santa, a new government for Christmas is all I want!
If they get banned their value will go up exponentially, to some...

I still have the 2 SKS from you, 1950 and 1951 :) Still unfired since i got them. They are keepers along with my others SKS's. I sold manys of my milsurps but my base collection of SKS will remain safe. I am waitng the next Type 81 LMG to get one to go with my fixed stock Type 81. I dont regret the Type 81.

and yet you failed to grasped the "concept" of free market (capitalism). you blame only the sellers and not the buyers but it takes two to tango. lets move on.

actually, i had more than a set but when i couldnt complete the second set i started to sell some of the second set off. im glad you kept them in pristine condition.

Well with the next shipment fast approaching the guys trying to make a profit off their LMGs better start trying harder. No way anyone sane would buy private for more when they can get it straight from TI.

It’s not even the LMG guys who are truly trying to make a profit... it’s the rifle model guys lol... most LMGs are selling for maybe 200 more than they cost their owners... if you look hard you can get them for 1900-2000 now... the rifle model guys who paid between 1000-1200 for theirs new, are looking to get 2K for them now...

^ the rifles will be on there way sooner or later no doubt. The prices guys are asking for them now lead me to think they may be on some good drugs. $2000+ for a used T-81 is absurd. I haven't seen any of them move so others must agree.

And yet you failed to see the argument I was making wasn't a legal or economic one, but a moral one. That's normally the weak fallback argument of the scummy, yes. You can spare the 'economics 101'. Everyone is familiar with the concept.

It's not illegal, not really above board either. Fools and their money are soon parted, but no one respects those opportunists doing the 'parting'.

With a few exceptions none of those guns are being made.

Technically true for Type 81 rifles. And after the next LMG shipment, possibly true for them as well. Tactical Imports has hinted at a possible 2021 rifle shipment. But only hinted. If that shipment fails to occur and the factorys do infact switch to producing other guns. Alas the Type 81 will sadly become a rarity even in Canada.

with TI you never know, you cant believe them 100% . your rifle model could be rare and valuable or very common, one never know for sure.

a few years ago, westrifle was saying them importing russian sks was coming to an end, most didnt believe them thought it was a marketing ploy and im on their site and no sks for sale.
