Funny and insightful post! Definitely added weight to my decision of getting one from the list.

I don't know why some people insist on censoring this. It's publicly available info that the anti-gun zealots already had anyway. We're not privy to some arcane knowledge. Besides, we know for sure the government wants to have an "evergreen" list, so no matter what you're trying to hide, it will end up on their list eventually.

The purpose of this post is to help buyers find relevant info so they can purchase more firearms that evaded the first assault (yes, I'm using that word), and it is successful at that.

Get 'em while you can.

This was the intention pre and post OIC.

The worst people in the gun community are those have been in it for a long time and are pig ignorant that others might not know everything they do. Often what they "know" is completely wrong and often they are hell bound to learning from the local gunstore knowledge library.

The lack of experience or understanding of how organisations/businesses/governments work is often terrifying to those of us that do know or have a modicum of critical thinking.

Sometimes they are fudds, other times they're tactical Timmies and sometimes they are the resistance who bravely fight the death squads that are secretely hiding in our gardens/basements/cookie jars.

So in general I chuckle at the comments and treat them for the value they have.

As a newly licensed owner (it's been about a year) and having been raised in an urban context in a family that never owned firearms, I know exactly what you mean.

Thankfully, there are amazing people here who share their stories, experience, and insights. I truly appreciate that, because I'm not surrounded by gun aficionados and let's say my visits to the range and the local shops have been limited because of a certain situation.

I'm still watching and hoping for a famae 540, actually being able to set up a full chest rig at not 542 mag prices would be wonderful.
It's the main reason I sold the 542.
