Ok maybe not a thing of beauty, but it works pretty good!
tell me how a 2.86" 9.5 twist 7wsm is better than a 2.955" 7.5 twist 6.8?
you're more of a close range thumper kinda guy
If you’re going with a slow twist anyways you might as well just do a 270 WSM with brass on every shelf.

I might trade my. 270 WSM for a 6.8 Western, if said 6.8 was chambered in a l brand new Winchester Model 70 extreme weather (stainless/McMillan stock) and it came with $500 and a few hundred pieces of brass...
It's funny how when the 270 WSM was introduced almost 20 years ago everyone was yelling "A new 270? Meh, who needs it? Better stock up on brass, it won't be here for long" and now when discussing another new cartridge people are talking about how the WSM is better and has easy to obtain brass.

For giggles I went back as far as I could on this forum, 2005; nobody was saying that about the WSM's.
It was more like "I love my 270 WSM"
Wow, in less than 30 minutes you read every single post about WSM's. That's impressive.
300WSM arrived in 2001 followed by the 270WSM in 2002. The internet was full of people saying exactly what I said.
