Just because somebody doesnt happen to have a pair of binoculars with them doesnt mean they are automatically going to be "scoping" people.
Can you honestly say that you have NEVER used a scope to look at something before knowing positively what it was?
Sounds like an admition of guilt.

I scope every thing including people, infact I think I scoped you once. I also only use my binocks AFTER I shoot just to see just what it was I hit.
What would you say would be the best of the low end binoculars? Can something usefull be bought for $150-$200? Are the Cabellas brand bino's any good?
Seriously, do you want to be criminally charged? Trust me if you ever point a rifle at me, you'll be explaining that dumbass comment to a judge, heaven or earth, your choice. Good grief man. Grab a Criminal Code of Canada and read up on Pointing a Firearm. Not trying to be rude, just getting the point across.
it's just a matter of time before that "bull moose in the bush" becomes a hunter raking a horn and grunting like a bull. I'm sure you'll be able to count his points in the 9x scope

You guys sure do read lots into what other people write. I'VE NEVER SCOPED ANYBODY. I don't hunt in Ontario or anything where there are hunters all over the place. I hunt on rivers in the Yukon, and I can tell the difference bewteen a moose on the shore and boat full of hunters coming down the river. Honestly, you guys are pretty alarmist on this one. And suddenly my rifle is loaded and ready to fire too? Give me a break, my scope and rifle never get pointed at people, I never chamber a round that isn't going to be fired in the next second or so. Because I use my scope to determine if a black bear on a hillside is worth going after, or if a moose on the shoreline at distance has a rack or not I'm suddenly scoping other people with a loaded firearm? Honestly; maybe some decaf is in order here.
I kinda had it figured that way Northman. Personally, I understand that varied circumstances might not call for someone to use binoculars due to close proximity or whatever else may dictate the use or not of binocs. What everyone is up in arms about is those people who choose NOT to use these and then will use their scopes to glass other hunters. I've been scoped by such people and believe me that it's not pleasant.![]()
Please do not take my story as a personal insult, it's just a past experience of mine.
Cheers
