Weird there are so many custom bolt guns in this caliber... why isn’t there more demand?

There isn't demand because there isn't a steady source of ammo, there isn't a steady source of ammo because it isn't alot of demand in Canada. I would have already converted a T81 and T97 and made a ACR conversion to this caliber if the ammo was actually available on a regular basis.

What is known is this caliber is mostly used in AK74’s which are prohibited here. I was not aware that all the benchrest and custom gunsmiths were building rifles in this caliber which were then chambering 2 MOA steel cased ammo. Seems totally plausible. I guess I will just go stick my head in the sand. Nothing to see here... let’s all be naive.

Its not insane it’s a question... and a very reasonable one. It’s called common sense.

Ho Lee fuk man... Reread my response... nowhere's did I say it was insane to ask the question.

I very clearly stated so this time I will repeat myself and bold it for you as well. To demand a response and insinuate that a lack thereof means he's a criminal is insane.

Silence is deafening. If someone asks me a question I give an answer and my mind is open until he does. I am building a custom Lapua action Hart barreled 5.56x39 as we speak as I don’t want to be the only one on the block who doesn’t have one...

That's a poor argument to make. That's like saying anyone who wanted to buy .50bmg was trying to feed a prohibited m2 browning. Other guns exist, even if they may be uncommon.

On the note of gunsmiths building rifles, why shouldn't they shoot 2moa steel cased ammo? Some people build things for fun. It's their property, let them do as they please. You're not the fun police.

Anyway, even if there were no guns in 5.45 in canada, it isn't illegal to own a cartridge. It is totally fine to collect, admire, or examine cartridges that are not explicitly prohibited by law.

Yes maybe he has a 14K valmet... Heck if I had one I would be letting everyone know. Maybe... About as rare as a hens tooth or an AK74.

I am moving on fellas. Some very good devils advocates on here.

bro you're the one asking him to post his rifle, now you're saying it would be stupid to post about your guns??? are you dense??

Even then, the M2 in it's semi-auto configuration was non-restricted the same as any bolt-action 50 pre May 1st 2020... and now all are banned, yet people are still buying and selling ammunition and loading components... strange....
