Continuing to buy handguns?

I don't make purchase decisions based on what the government may do in the future. If I did, I would have stop buying back in the 70's. I've purchased two more pistols this year.

Just received my second. Only the now minimal balance in the gun account is stopping me. Time to raise some funds!

I have a modest collection of handguns, spanning 1903 to current items. They all get used. It saddens me to think of my Grandfather's Colt Woodsman or 1911 being taken from me if things continue toward bans and "buy back".

My question is- how many of us are continuing purchase handguns? I see items on my lgs websites moving still, but I hesitate to invest any more of my money into restricted (ie traceable) firearms.

Where are you all at on this? Do we really expect a fair dollar from Bill Blair on a 1st gen Colt SAA? I think not.

I mean we have all seen the liberal announcements ...

Liberals announced assault weapons ban ... assault weapons ban happened

Liberals announced hand gun ban .... guess what will happen ...

The best case for the next election is another liberal minority government which means: bans

You can also tell that the liberals are getting smarter ... its no longer an assault weapons buyback that costs billions .. no, they are making owning your paper weights (monitored alarm and police visits) so expensive and difficult that many people will happily hand their guns in

Also giving the handgun ban to the cities is another brilliant move that will let them ban hand guns at zero cost because they are not taking them... you will get the free choice to give up your guns or move to some small town that didnt ban guns ...

I haven't bought any handguns, I've been buying up a bunch of non restricted rifles instead. With ranges closed in Ontario, and the only shooting I can do at the cottage. No point in buying restricteds at this time.

Those Turkish handguns are so much cheaper than AR15's. Flood socialist canuckistan with loads more restricteds.
Strangely enough, I've bought more handguns since my adult black Lego's have been put in the penalty box.

I'll still buy another handgun if it's something I like. The turd's going to have a hellva tough time to pull his handgun ban off. First off it'll cost a premium amount of tax payer dollars to buy back legally purchased property. Just because they all of sudden wish to score points with the lefties doesn't mean they can move in and grab all our handguns without fair market value. They try getting clever with the price I don't doubt there'll be plenty of lawsuits to establish fair market value. Why do think the little weasel has trotted out the municipal ban? Trying to pass the buck onto the local governments. Once they figure out what it's going to cost them to be so woke, I suspect you won't hear too much after that. The little puke may revert to taxing ammo or a liability insurance requirement or more sniveling with holding up ammo at the border. Whatever he thinks will win him points with the radical left. Life is short so buy the handgun you want and it enjoy it and to hell with trudeau and blair.

I've stopped buying and I don't care what others think about that decision, I'll just shoot what I have.

I have one pistol, it’s been like that for at least 6 years.

I only have the this one pistol as a restricted, the rest went prohib on May 1st and I donlt intend to buy more Restricted until justin is in jail.

Judge me if you want, I’m not a huge fan of the 10k worth of rifles, equipment and ammo that were stolen from me on May 1st 2020 and I’m not looking at adding more in the red.

I have purchased "many" handguns in the past year and if I see something I want I will buy it. I don't buy impulsively and very rarely purchase new. Life's to short and with all the crap going on in the world I find purchasing, selling and shooting handguns to be relaxing almost therapeutic. I have to admit that I will purchase the new Shadow Systems MR920L elite when it becomes available here in Canada.

I hate to say it but your more than likely correct. I have a buddy in Texas and it makes me sick to think he can just go buy one anytime he wants . he just bought another 1911 yesterday . and Texas just put through a law on Friday that you don't need a license to carry a pistol open carry . or something of that nature . I have been coaching him what to buy . now he has a nice collection . LOL . I think Justin is going to get in again because there are too many stupid people walking the streets . I have taken a consensus for sometime and those who are true working class people like me don't like him because he has no idea what the hell he is doing .

and those who don't work and those who have government jobs and love to pay taxes because they don't really work hard for their money love him .

I haven't rented traceable firearms from the government in a few years, as I saw which way the wind was blowing. BUT I support your right to buy as many as you're comfortable with. I'd definitely buy handguns if they were treated same as any other tool as I enjoyed shooting them.

I agree.

The wish list is long. I limit myself to one per year. If the budget allowed, it would likely be more often.
Pay cash (or pay off the credit card the same day) and forget about it. Money is worthless if it doesn't help you enjoy life.
Heck, it's worthless anyway the way things are going. You could do worse than convert it into durable goods.
