It can.
Worse is not having the tensioning adjustment right when assembled. Too loose and the barrel will wiggle in the receiver, too tight and you get get it together. Not hard to get it right if you pay attention and check for it.
Check out irunguns they have pretty good deals on mags i picked up a few pmags and amend2 mags as well for a good price.
So I finally got to have a look at it today. First impression; this thing is built like a tank. It's got some heft to it and I can see why some people have said that they wouldn't want to hump it around the woods all day. It is well put together and the fit and finish seems to be very good. I picked up some Pmags for it today so I will swap out the magwell when I get a chance (although the all metal Ruger mag that comes with it seems very good quality).
The mag release is quite recessed. I'll take it to the range a couple of times to practice with but if it bugs me I will swap it out for the Mcarbo mag release. Also the fore end feels quite angular so if I find that uncomfortable I'll invest in some Mlok rail covers.
Apart from these very minor points I am extremely happy with it. It looks great, it feels very well made and I can't wait to shoot it.
I know you said you don't want a lot of upgrades, but I strongly encourage you consider an upgraded extractor and bolt pins. The OEM ones are MIM and fail frequently. The MCARBO ones are not expensive, are 100% reliable and last forever

What carbine version did you get ?
PC9 or PCC? PC9 was discontinued in 2006 and never had glock mag compatibility...
So I have to say, this has become my favourite gun. I did get some Pmags for it although I tried Irunguns but for some reason the payment wouldn't go through on their site so I ended up going and picking some up from Al Flaherty's.
Did you try the irunguns.ca site or irunguns.com?
I found my first buying experience on irunguns.com confusing and had some payment problems.
I found ordering on irunguns.ca much easier - those Glock 17 mags that are 10/17 and 10/33 are on the Canadian site.
What kind of deals have you found on the 10/17's? The first couple I bought were on sale for $20/each but now most places are listing them at $30.
This X10000
I have about 500 rounds through mine and ordered all the upgrade parts. I was very surprised in the amount of wear on the pins and the extractor.
Think I'll go ahead and get these then. I've got a few hundred shots on mine, not a single malfunction, all good so far but if I can get ahead of problems that would be good.
