Spectre LTD. Spec 180 Lower Info and Ongoing Feedback for WK, MCR, AR180

User AlbertaNumba1 over on Reddit posted about a new lower coming from Spectre LTD. He pointed out that Instagram user @Spectre_steve had posted pictures, and I've retrieved the following info from his Instagram Comments (question marks are his FYI):

we are still trying to keep the 180 look a little. This new design feels way better in the hand and it’s easier to reach the controls.

we are waiting for a couple dealers to get back to us. Once we know what dealer are carrying them I’ll post it. If we don’t hear back within a day or so we will be selling the direct.

That is definitely a great step in the right direction ! I have been asking since day 1 why they had to make it square like a block of lego ! Round it down and make the ergos better if your machining them then put some effort into it :)

More machine time means more money.
 
Make a gun that looks like a 2.5k gun, with 2.5k gun reliability and Canadians will pay 3.5k for it new…5.5k on the EE.

But seriously…I understand that the political climate has made investing in R&D very unattractive to many firms, however I really hope that the platform gets pushed into the kinda territory where we have different tiers of the same platform. I never bought a bottom of the barrel firearm before the OIC and I have only increased my investment since 05.01.2020, purchasing more expensive firearms to replace my now prohib rifles. I’d really like to see somebody make some alternate 180’s that fill the hole in the market left by all XCR’s, MCX’a, Swiss Arms & Gucci AR’s that are chill’n in legal purgatory.

I have bought more guns in the last year than ever! Before the oic I thought I was good for a while.
 
I'd prefer a different magwell angle as well, but even as it sits I'd be tempted to try another 180. with everything coming out from Spectre and TNA one could build a pretty damn decent 180.

True North just came out with 1 piece steel uppers for the WK, FYI. and from what they posted in their thread a few days ago, it sounds like uppers that aren't cut for left side charging handles could be coming out soon.

In a round about way there are two that fit that bill - H&K SL-8 and the B&T APC
 
I picked up one of the last “New ACR’s” last June and then doubled down on a G36 last fall. Both are great. I’d love to grab an APC308….. but they are like unicorns. So I guess I wait and see if anybody starts making some bad ass, well crafted 180’s

Lots of good ideas floating around.

I think the Spec180 looks like a huge step forward in the design and the overall quality of the machine work.
 
This lower solves a problem that doesn't exist. Although it looks great, I doubt many will drop 3 bills just to change up the aesthetics slightly on their 180/MCR. Also, I don't know a single person who has built a 180 from scratch as it doesn't make sense price wise. Also, what's with the cringy white out lettering on the side?

That’s where you’re wrong kiddo, I just bought one solely to use my favourite grip the K2+. A bonus would be if I can use a typical safety selector, which it looks like it does. At ~$300 shipped, this is priced well.
