If your example is similar to others of the same model with no obvious differences then it is as intended. Just because it doesn't meet your expectations doesn't mean it's defective, it just means your expectations were too high for the product.

Considering this is a mass-produced Chinese rifle, I'll be happy if it just proves to be decently reliable and shoots minute of bad guy.

Please have reasonable expectations considering the product you are buying. These were produced the same way as if they were for the Chinese Army who absolutely don't care about fit or finish, just basic reliability and function.

Based on my research, most people are having issues with the little of plastic on the folder. So far, no of them are having issues with upper and lower grips.

I don’t have too much expectations on it, as I said before if the plastic grip has different colour then it’s totally acceptable for me. All I want is to have the Sam match colour on the upper and lower grips.

Plus the type 81 se is new production, not surplus, then the design was not working on war. So all your squawking is just over the fact that the curtains don't match the carpet? Lol

You do realize that these are different materials and won't take die the same way.

Also... while you are correct that these are not surplus, that is never what I insinuated. What I stated was these are tagged onto a military contract and produce the same way as the military ones just lesser the fun parts. The only time we ever get any type 81 is when another military has made a much larger purchase order that we can piggyback on.

And just because some disgruntled customers want something different doesn't mean it was done wrong it just means you want something that isn't offered.

The funny thing about commies is they aren't too willing to listen to their customers. You can take it or leave it LOL. Just be fortunate that we continue to have opportunities to buy these rifles and that they're Cooperative enough to produce a semi-auto version for us which actually meets the standards required by our overlords in the RCMP.
 
I call it a 10 foot paint job, lol.

But don't get me wrong, I had about 10 type 81 and I love them - as long as they work properly, unlike the ole Norinco NP34 jamatic special.
