At a bit over $4000 it's not improbable to find an original K98 sniper rifle (near this price tag) inclusive it's factory issue optics.

Low recoil?? Well, maybe, compared to some of the boomers out there. I have several 98's in 8x57 and it seems to me they kick right smartly. But, what do I know.

I wouldn't mind having a brand new 98, no kidding. I do have a really nice dot 1943 BRNO 98 that came from an estate of a really good friend. That's likely as close as I'll get.

Being it's East German birth and this list alternate calibers, it surprized me it's not offered in 7.62x39mm as well.

And could 8x33mm effectively mimick the single shot target Mauser full stock rifles 8mm rimmed of between world wars?

They didnt have enough interest to make an order.
