Want a brand new K98K?

I like this part on the website

These original pieces are very popular with sport shooters because of their low recoil. Thanks to our replica for sport shooters, it is now inexpensive to get.

Followed by a retail price of € 2,980.00 (google tells me with current exchange rates that is 4,336.32 Canadian!)

8x33, 8x57IS, 7.62x51.
If the computer translation was correct, the stocks and barrels are new, while machined parts are pre-war?

Low recoil?? Well, maybe, compared to some of the boomers out there. :p I have several 98's in 8x57 and it seems to me they kick right smartly. But, what do I know. ;)

I wouldn't mind having a brand new 98, no kidding. I do have a really nice dot 1943 BRNO 98 that came from an estate of a really good friend. That's likely as close as I'll get. :)

Being it's East German birth and this list alternate calibers, it surprized me it's not offered in 7.62x39mm as well.

And could 8x33mm effectively mimick the single shot target Mauser full stock rifles 8mm rimmed of between world wars?

8X33 or 8mm Kurz was developed and used in the MP43, MP44, Stg, Mkb42H.....Sturmgewehr!

There was also apparently a wartime K98 chambered in 8X33 in WW2. Experimental.
