If it makes you feel any better, I can’t think of a more useless firearm to put a bayonet on. Its not at all balanced unless its tight to your shoulder. If you thrust out it would feel pretty floppy, plus if the bayonet extends past the barrel you lose some of the advantages of a compact rifle. Sucks you didn’t get what you wanted though..
The x95 is a lot better balanced than an AR in my experience. Slightly heavier on the back which makes it very easy to aim with one arm versus a non shorty AR is fairly nose heavy causing it to dip down in the front. If anything adding a bayonet to an x95 would make it perfectly balanced..
