So? If they wear ukranian uniforms and are under ukranian command they are combatants and to ge treated according to the geneva convention. Not this matters much to the russians.
It doesn't matter to Putin, he's all in. He knows he either wins, or he gets the Beria Retirement Package. Some of his generals are in the same boat. The further down the chain of command, the more likely they are to buck the order. The Russian troops appear to be a bit of a mixed bag, when it comes to commitment to the cause. This is one of the rare cases where leaflet bombing might actually do some good. At the very least, they should be getting a Cole's Notes version of the Geneva and Hague conventions.

From the manual, Electrical Start-Up after turning on vehicle Master Switch
1. Depress the rubber push button "Aux.Oil Pump-Engine" for 8-12 seconds to create maxium oil pressure (not lower then 2 bars) after which release push button
2. Depress the push button "Starter" and after 2-3 seconds (from commencement of the crankshaft revolutions) quickly pressing the accelerator pedal 1/3 of its travel
3. Once engine starts running, relase the starter push -button and set to minium r.p.m. in idle run (800 r.p.m)
I assume that fan you can see is the state of the art air conditioning ?
