Good news BC guns are clearing

When I called PR 5 days after I bought, to ask if they had initiated the transfer yet, they saif they had not. Maube that is why the transfer completion dates are muddied. They may not have initiated in the order of purchase.

That's right. It's not when you hit the purchase button but rather when the retailer was able to get it submitted I am thinking. Not knocking the retailers by any means. How do you process 1000 purchases in a week when you are used to doing 50? I started buying on the 31st and so far have received 3 transfers. Few more to go. Took my first one to the range yesterday.

Purchased something from another retailer on June 8. They didn't initiate the transfer until the 23rd. :-( Now waiting in line for the CFO.

The only reason we might not have initiated a transfer the same day or within hours is if it was a consignment and we needed to reach them by phone to get it from the seller's inventory into ours.

Anyone in bc that has got a transfer recently willing to let us know where they are in the #s? You transfer should have a 7 digit number, we were at 587###x at the beginning of this stupidity, and the cfo office claimed they do it in order received (based on the transfer # assigned by the rcmp system). Which likely isn't the case, but thats what they told me. Anyone get an approval who is in the 592###x, 593###x, or 594###x yet? Can't get thru to the cfo to waste 15 seconds of their time asking, and as is typical, the rcmp online portal isn't working.

My 589###x BC transfer cleared last Friday. My 593###x has not cleared.

Awesome, thx for that (at least its a bracket).
I'm going to try ramping up for forest fires like the cfp has ramped up for the restricted rush. "Oh, theres a massive increase in fires? Guess I will just keep trudging along with the same effort as I do when its slow."

Edit: I had a 5888### approved june 7. Sure doesn't look like they are covering a lot of ground (although impossible to say how many of each number series ended up at the BC CFO, hopefully the newfies bought everything in the 590-592 stretch. Gotta protect oneself from the Cod...)

I successfully got through to the BC CFO and they approved a 591 and 592 transfer for me, still waiting one a couple 593s though.

I assume this was from a private sale? Supposedly if your buying from a business you don't have to call the cfo with the reference number to complete the transfer process. Only in a private sale.
But these days I'm wondering.

Also amusing how you call call the 1-4-2 all day and keep getting the "piss off" pre-recorded message, but get right thru on 1-6-1, although they just transfer back to 142/piss off (i realize thats the feds, but 9530 also just gives you the piss off message). Smooth running operation. Pretty sure it hasn't occurred to the libs to give the CFO a heads up, but if i worked in that office i would be really looking forward to summer holidays

I remember at the end of the announcement, Trudeau or one of his cronies was asked if they expected a run on handguns as a result of this "freeze" message. Whichever mouthpiece it was who answered gave a pretty short negative answer. They are so clueless.

My 591###x has cleared in BC.

Private sales, yes. I called 3ish weeks after both parties had done their part under the auspices of asking if they had current range membership on file or if there was anything else they needed to approve the transfers.

No 592###x yet. Judging by the numbers it will take them another 3 to 4 days to start 592###x. And to add insult to injury, they are not processing in the order of the reference numbers. At least not for me.

I had suspected such. I had a 22 already arrive but nary a perp on the 9mm i bought in the same transaction (store purchase), which could be a store ####-up (they could have put both on the same transfer...) but also got another transfer thru from a purchase 3 days later. The stores are swamped so i can understand the issues getting transfers into the system, but i wish the govt would do the transfers in # order, tired of all the whining #####es jumping the queue and getting a response first. Because if theres one thing this world needs more of, its self-centered people that insist on their fulfillment before everyone else.

Hope everyone has been saving a few dollars for ammo, i can't see how that won't be the next bottleneck the libs put up (I'm assuming they know you actually need to put cartridges in a gun to get bullets to come out the end)
