Probably the best quality guns I've seen. It would be great if they set up a Canadian factory.

I had a Girsan mc1911 in 9mm. Worked flawlessly from day one. Only had it for a year and didn't fire too many rounds through it but I wouldn't hesitate to buy another Girsan product.

Arms East has some of the full sized Tisas 1911s in 45 in stock. I have one of the Canuck commanders in 9 and I am pretty pleased with it.

I'll say it again, anyone desperate enough should give backcountry fsj a call. They had a Colt 1911 mark IV series 80 as of 2 days ago in (I believe) .45 win mag. It was a consignment gun, but in good condition as far as I could see. I think they asking price was $1800.

I saw those when I was on the hunt. Having read some reviews online I chose to wait it out and snagged a colt. I would go for a Turkish tisas or something instead.

Yep, and now they are gone. I am really impressed with the 9mm commander I picked up.
