Update On Ontario Restricted Transfer Times

What happens if let’s say for example I go to my place in America for the winter, and some of my purchases are finally ready Feb of 2023. Can I call the dealers when I leave and just tell them to hold everything until I get back?…I never though this would be an issue when I ordered.
 
What happens if I go to my place in America for the winter and my guns are finally ready to be sent/picked up then….I never thought this would be an issue. Will the dealers just hold them for me until I return?

Yes you can. We do it all the time for people that are traveling, posted, deployed etc.

I didn't win the lottery but my hand gun was delivered by Canada Post this morning. I can't use it until the paperwork comes through but I have it in my hands.

Please let us know of any other private transfers to Ontario, initiated after May 31st, which have gone through. That way we will know whether my transfer was just a fluke or whether the Ontario CFO is actually processing private transfers initiated June 20th or later.
 
A friend of mine (not a CGN member so I'll post for him) has a private to private transfer initiated (and confirmed by the buyer the same day) in Ontario.
It was on June 14, transfer # 59353XX. Still waiting.

The transfer is 10k earlier than fotytwo45 has.

Not sure if any logic to it as I have a QC To ON private to private that was initiated and confirmed by both parties on June 10 and still nothing. Ref # 5928###. Happy for you though fortytwo45!

If you have an account with Tenda, you can log on and review your order. In that order # they usually show the reference number as an update to the order.
