It definitely is. Also, being it was Sunday, they probably were exclusively on Transfers that have no issues. Weekdays mean they can take calls again, have to do PAL/RPAL applications, and (the biggest time sink) investigate with CFP transfers that need to be looked into. They cannot do those on the weekend AFAIK.

Sorry if this has already been asked but if they implement the prohibition of the cfo transferring firearms will our transfers that are currently in limbo all be cancelled?

This has been asked about 300 times in this thread and in others. We are trying to keep this about approval numbers for tracking.

The Coles notes is transfers that were started will be allowed to finish. It is in the proposed legislation as well as several precedents set and case law the Ed Burlew wrote about in a seperate thread covering this topic.

This is the furthest one I've seen as of 3:30pm Sept 27. Mine's 59138XX and still waiting.

Others are still receiving 59096XX right now, which indicates that they have a spread of about 4100 transfers on their work pile (between the oldest and newest transfer numbers on the same day). Please correct my math if I'm not doing the statistics right.
 
By far the worst day for me trying to get through to CFO. First call in at 8:59am, many were dropped, and many were answered with the 'Sorry we can't answer your call right now' message. I got through after 3pm to start transfer # 60422xx.

I'm not sure if it makes a difference but, I had one approved last week already. They're not batching but, maybe they're able to be more efficient on following transfers.

any transfer initiated before the cut off will be honored, unless the government turns around and changes that line.

I find it interesting that I've Had 3 approved in the last 10 days or so, I've received the approval emails from 3 different email address. All correspondence I've had with the CFO, including the first transfer, were from the cfoon email. But my last 2 are from the different ones below.

Probably good chance that for some reason they can't operate the same email address with multiple people, at the same time anyway. Security reasons?
