I have 2 transfers initiated on Oct 11 as well, one 60502xx (ON business to private, 1 gun) the other 60505xx (BC business to private, 2 guns in the same order), for total of 3 guns.

Have one more that I ordered but have not received reference number.

Have a feeling these will get flagged for ordering too many in a short amount of time.


Edit: 3rd transfer: 60509xx sent this morning.

Seems like today is cleanup day, they are approving the ones they missed from the June 7 pile. we had one June 8 yesterday and now they are back to early June 7 numbers.

I’m really curious as to how they “miss” transfers? Like it’s chronological order. Most were submitted on a web service.
 
Ref# I got from MB retailer to ON private is 59316XX. The retailer told me the transfer was initiated June 7, but this ref# seems to line up with June 13th... What's another few weeks of waiting ehh...

Not nessecarily. I'm fairly certain the government isn't flagging multiple purchases at this point. I've got a couple transfers in the works right now. One a July 22nd 5970*** for 2 firearms and one from june 22nd 5948*** for 15 firearms ranging from small to large pistols and canadain compliant semi auto sub machinegun variants like the famae mini SAF..... I called them in late September asking of it would be an issue and I was told the number of firearms in my transfers wasn't an issue and they'll be processed and I don't need to worry. At this point I think they know people are stocking up while they can.

I got flagged at the start of this for buying 5 polymer 80 lowers all at once.

5 minute phone call that ended pretty much as soon as I told them I still have all my restricteds and they can come by and inspect if they want. They dropped it.

They appear to be grabbing piles of transfers and processing them that way, they aren't in perfect chronological order.

They made this switch from perfect chronological order to "stack processing?" at the beginning of september and it appears to have increased the rate of processing compared to the rate prior to that.

Lucky. Still waiting on 59219xx ON to ON. Not sure what exactly folks at the CFP are doing....ombudsmam stopped replying to my emails about a month ago. Starting to get really frustrated with their incompetence.

I think the Ombudsman's office should be defunded.

They are completely useless & ineffective in dealing with all the complaints, essentially impotent do anything about the serious backlog & poor service standard!

That’s literally all government . There’s a small park on the corner of my street , they put up a sign saying it’s gonna cost 4.9 million to revamp . I want the breakdown because I can revamp the entire park with new play structure for a few 100k
 
An odd side note to my transfers, I have received 4 approvals since the frenzy started in June. 2 purchases on June 2nd (Transfer initiations spread out by 4 days), one June 3, and one June 7 The day I received the first June 2 gun in the mail I got the email the 2nd June 2 was approved, the day that one arrived in the mail I got the approval email for the June 3, I grabbed the Canada Post slip today from the mail box to pick my gun up after work, and 10 min later got my June 7 purchase approval email.

It would be pretty sweet, though far beyond unlikely, for my next one (Aug 22 purchase) to be approved when this one arrives.
