Update On Ontario Restricted Transfer Times

Wolf's spreadsheet is averaging 707 reference numbers a day, assuming 1/3 are in Ontario, 236 approvals a day.

Seems like a snails pace when there is another 122,000 more transfer numbers to go.

There is no incentive to work faster. In 4-6 months, all handgun transfers will be complete. How many restricted rifles are being purchased, my guess, not a while lot

Not necessarily, overtime pays at least +50% for them and with the inflation rate the way it is money now is better than money later.

Plus, the government getting rid of people because there's no work, lol... what do you think half of government employees are already doing?

59340xx June 13 to Oct 28 still waiting on a 59330xx. Looks like the rules changed. You need to wait for the registration certificate to take it to the range, the new approvals are only for initial pick up straight to your house.

**CFO Ontario is aligning with the practice of other CFOs regarding Transfer Notices. Effective Immediately Transfer Notifications’ purpose is to take possession of a newly acquired firearm after the transfer is completed, and does not serve as a temporary registration certificate. Subsequent movement of the firearm can only occur after receipt of the registration certificate.***
