Update On Ontario Restricted Transfer Times

squidxm is the first person to reach the 150 day wait.

mage0608 has waited the longest so far at 152 days from transfer initiation to completion.

Reminder for everyone. If you think you should've got your notification by now to check online on the rcmp website. I'm the 4th person I know who never received the notification. Neither email nor regular mail, despite having requested to be emailed twice. Mine was approved two weeks ago and I had no idea.

So I assume the store where you bought it wasn't notified either?

I just checked IWS and sure enough, the two Ruger Wranglers that I bought together from a dealer are there BUT I've not received the approved Transfer Notification via email...

Keep in mind that another handgun bought AFTER these two, was approved 'before' these... Or so I had thought... Maybe this approval was already done & they never sent the notification?

I called the ON CFO & they confirmed that it was approved...

I told her that I could see the two revolvers on the IWS system, so they were in my name but...

I had not gotten the Transfer Notification, so she sent it to me via email while we were on the phone, she also sent it to the business.

What is the IWS system and how do I use it I’m also waiting on a pair of wranglers (among other things) and would like to check if it’s on there, I’ve actually gotten my paper registration in the mail 2 days before receiving an email confirmation before

Most people here are concerned with the deltas not the specific rate itself, and the rate cancels out in that calculation so it doesn't really matter if you quote nominal or ON only as long as your consistent.

For what it's worth, I prefer nominal because I'm not convinced that the 1/3 number given in that letter the CFO sent to the stores is correct... I did some rough math on it a few months ago and arrived at a number that was closer to 1/4.
