Norma TAC-22 High-Performance on sale at Cabelas

Read post #23, this explains the quality or lack of for this ammo.

1 report of duds in this thread. Hardly enough to say don't buy it. As the person could simply has a bad batch. Their could been a mechanical issue. I had issue with a gun, that it appeared to be solid hits, but wouldnt fire all the time, same ammo in another gun would work. Was not till I tapered the firing pin, like a wedge did I get positive ignition.

Yea I've shot a few hundred so far in bolt actions, no issues. Post #1 did some testing and impressions are that its above CCI SV, which I've shot thousands of. Either way, I have a few thousand to burn through now, we'll see.

For that price it sounds great, if its rebranded RWS! I just bought a few bricks, worst case I trade it later if my rifles don't like it.

Hmmm... it shows the old black box ammo, but says 1082fps in the specs which is the spec of the new red box stuff...

UPS just showed up at my door with 2x bricks, the stuff they just sent me is 'black box' and states '1100fps', I opened a box to take a look, has an 'R inside the shield' RWS stamp on the bottom and the rounds are oily as opposed to waxy which I far prefer.

The rounds are molded nicely and seated without any wiggle to them. looks FAR better ammo than regular bulk box stuff, but not as nice as the SK match, Lapua CX, R50 or Eley match/tenex I usually shoot.

I guess this will be just going through the bullet hose 10/22 or maybe one of my bullseye pistols.

I finished a portion of brick (about 200 rounds) on my Cz 457 yesterday, no single dud at all.
Accuracy wise, it’s average, a bit better than cci mini mag, a bit worse than SK standard.
So this is my unscientific test, you take it as you like

Excellent, thanks for sharing!

Someone on FB got a 0.3 MOA group with this ammo this weekend. Crprs group

One single group isn't a true test of accuracy. Five or ten five shot groups gives a far better indication of what the particular rifle/ammo combination is capable of.

Many of the experienced shooters on this site would argue that even five groups are not enough to judge the standard of accuracy.

Good price for plinking ammo. Local CT has a bunch of it right now, but non of my guns like it.

I now only buy ammo my rifles and pistols like. Local Canadian Tire had 10 X 50 round boxes of CCI Standard Target; someone beat me to one box, I bought the rest. I have been buying some SK, Aguilla, Remington and Auto-match target ammo from Auctions as well.

Get what you can, when you can.

There are threads on RFC reporting half in at 50yards. Majority of the shooters buying this are not super anal about rimfire target groups. And will be more than acceptable to them. As shown by the lack of entries in the challenges.

Also to be honest there are alot if you got a rimfire shooters, you need to shoot center x or ### or else and they are looked down on others if you don't. . Why I enjoy my group of Shooters, we all shoot mid level grade ammo, so it's more fair. Keep it around 10$ a box.

Not the same ammo... the stuff that comes from Cabelas is in a black box and 1100fps... Back in POST#49 I described what ammo you get.

I bought 2 bricks of this ammo from Cabelas. One box I was sent was the black box you described with the 1100fps, One box was the red box with the 1083fps listed. Looks like Cabelas is shipping the ammo in both packaging.
