With so many credit card frauds reported from that store...WHY DO CGN KEEEP THE STORE ACCOUNT OPEN???

Maybe it’s time you understand that hacking does not happen at the store end but downstream, at the internet provider, at the third party processing the transaction. Finding the leak is not an easy thing. Hacker are smart. FOC is not involved unless they are IT specialist themselves.

It took months for a Bank to plug up in their clients database that was hacked and lost personal financial and identity infos. Not a few clients, 700 000 clients were affected.

Keep in mind, that the hack might happen way before the final transaction. Sometime months before, often starting with a very small amount, like 0.69. If nothing happen then they go for the big - multiple amount.

Prohibitionist and censor are in my book, no better than than the guns grabbers. Same mentality.

I wouldn't advise doing this under normal circumstances as it's kinda scummy, but they did not send you what you ordered, that's why the cc company does chargebacks.

after 30 days from your cc i want to see the outcome ... especially if you receive the good. please let us know how it goes.

Very doubtful that the CC company would do a charge back until the 22 was returned to the place of purchase .

A charge back is not automatic, the CC company does it’s own check with the vendor. If they find the CC holder try to scam the vendor of delivered goods, he might end up with it’s CC cancelled. Obtaining good and then asking to be refunded IS STEALING.

As for you assumption FOC will go under, your statement does not worth the wolds you wrote. You don’t know.

For those unaware from the other thread, FOC was made aware by Visa about the data breach and DID NOTHING in the immediate aftermath to do anything about it. Yes they eventually got it fixed (so they say), but in the meantime kept taking orders and letting people pay by credit card (instead of turning that functionality off and say only taking EMT temporarily). They didn't disclose it until they were called out on it. They launched a sale in the meantime.

Janeau you act like FOC is blameless in this. They are not. I think any reasonable person would have forgiven them if they had been made aware of the breach and took immediate steps to protect their customers, because yes not everyone is an IT expert and mistakes happen (even though as a firearm retailer their duty of care should be higher than a normal retailer's). FOC acted completely inappropriately and chose profits over protecting their customers. Full stop.
