The sheer fact that you are asking this... indicates that the shooting sports may not be for you. Try soccer.
(Not putting you down OP, in fact trying to save you from pain and heartache and loss of monies that you may not be prepared for.)
Best.
Hi everyone,
I am thinking of buying a Kodiak WK180C gen 2 rifle that is on the looming C21 amendment list with the hope that the amendment doesn't pass as was drafted.
Is it foolish to spend the money on this rifle that may not even have a chance to be used before the change is put into effect and is rendered useless? What are the chances that a revised version of the amendment list doesn't contain the WK180C?
I'm wondering how much info the Trudeau team is getting from CGN posts. I'd assume they have many trolls on site looking for more "resistance" ideas which they can counter with more roadblocks. I think many comments can be detrimental to our efforts to challenge the legitimacy of this grab. Just another opinion... Hopefully the CCFR can exert significant influence in changing minds and opening the minds of those who have been "anti-gun-conditioned" over the past few decades. The days of taking your .22 rifle on the school bus for after-school target shooting in the school basement range, are over.
It is a very sad day when you have to live in fear of what your government may do. This is NOT living free!!
It seems there are 2 kinds of gun owners. Those that will always abide by whatever rule an evil regime imposes and there are those that live with the "what gun?" plan.
Trust me there is FAR more going on with this regime than just guns. Guns is just stage 1 of their agenda.
I'm hoping that C21 gets flushed down the toilet like the crap that it is ..
I went out and bought an non OIC gun immediately to replace my AR the second day OIC was announced. And I shoot even more than before.
Think about this - enjoy and shoot while you can. If every minute of life is a bonus, the logical option is enjoy it to the fullest! If I know there is uncertainty about shooting guns in future, I am going to buy and shoot as much as possible til the day I am not allowed to.
Most importantly - the best way to explain, an army needs logistics, logistics needs arms manufacturers aka industry base. When the government cuts budget and the arms manufacturers left, the industry base disappears. Even if the government changes it mind, it would take years and years to rebuild the base.
When people stop buying guns, the dealer/manufacturing base is getting eroded. When the base is eroded, it would takes years to attract people to pick up the risk again and get back into the gun business. It took over 15 years for the firearms industry to expand from the Harper era to what it is now.
If everyone goes out and buy at least something, this will keep the industry and the distributor network operational until the next friendly government gets in. This is kinda like the government is buying a certain quantity in peace time to make sure the factory can make enough profit to stay on, until the day war comes it can go back to 24/7 full rate production at max cap.
At this point I'd almost buy a full auto AK from a drunk in the back of a bar on the downtown east side. I SAID ALMOST.

The sad fact is that if there ever were some drunk selling a full auto ak in a bar to anyone with case it would be better for literally everyone if you did buy it as its likely safer in your hands than the next random passerby who thinks nothing of breaking the law and doing business with seemingly shady people.
But instead our gun laws actually encourage good people to sell their guns illegally in order to avoid taking a financial loss.
Go figure.
