Go read the ad - it's still up. Good condition with good to very good bores. Inspected. I have the ad copy from the day I purchased pasted in post 1 of this thread.
Marstar listed some sale carcanos as fair. I did not order a marstar carcano.
I expected an assembled, working rifle. I got a pieced together, partially disassembled rifle not in functional condition out of the box. Would you call that truth in advertising?
Don't be so intellectually lazy, it's not like you.
Edit: GNG'as ad text from the sale reproduced here:
I would rate my bore on rifle no.2 is poor to fair. I would say it's 95% covered in rust that was not minor. See the photos, make up your own mind if I'm being fair or not. Even the inside of the bolt was rusted almost solid and needed significant cleanup. I had to soak some of the parts in evaporust to free them up. Overall condition is poor to fair, and it's a recently assembled parts rifle. Only matching parts are the receiver and barrel.
I should also mention Andy, many of the cooey carcanos were made from rifles. Some of the bolts in your photo are rifle bolts with bent handles.
Real carbine bolts have kind of a serpentine bend to them, while cooey-bent rifle bolts have a more crude rounded bend.
Hard to tell in the photo, but I think the top 2 bolts in your photo were rifle bolts, possibly others as well.
The rifles were listed as being in FAIR condition only. Pretty much what you received.
I'm quite surprised at your response. It's not like you at all.
Per my comments in the order and by PM on CGN, the last one you sent me was a 1941 Brescia. It was really beat up badly, I’d say it cleaned up to fair. You can see my example in my CGN review here (my CGN handle is Claven2:

I’d really appreciate it if this time you could pick out an early date for me – whatever is the earliest one you have where the stock isn’t beat up as badly as my last one. I’ll cross my fingers about getting a cleaning rod in the butt this time like some guys are reporting
If it’s easier than shipping, PERSON at STORE is a good friend of mine, you could drop it off there for me if that’s easier. PERSON I KNOW mentioned you sometimes do that.
Received shipping notice from Marstar today. I’m hoping that since I ordered one with adjustable sights, I get an early dated version. Been a long time since I had a firearm sent in the mail, looking forward to it!
All I can say about this whole situation, is I miss Anthony and tradex...
I bet the shipping price was a kick in the nads if it's been a while for you! It's crazy how much parcel costs have climbed.
