Update On Ontario Restricted Transfer Times

My 59891** seems to have been passed over. It is a Norinco Olympia TT and others have said that because of a small serial number they seem to go for second review.

Betting my 59901** gets approved before the Norinco.

I wouldn’t worry much about it yet. I’m still waiting on a B-P 59820**. Approvals are erratic.

So I think I figured out why this whole batch of transfers cleared by a mistake I made. Back in August I followed the suggestion on here about complaining to the ombudsman. I emailed them and they asked for a list of all the transfers outstanding. I sent this in and never heard. I also realized that I forgot to add one of the transfers to that email. After that email was sent I bought 6 more guns. I just checked back and the ones that cleared were all the ones I listed in the email. One of the 6015### cleared (listed in the email) and another 6015### did not clear because it was not included.

The batch transfers we saw 2 weeks ago must have been some house keeping on ombudsman emails. Anyone else who go those, did you email them as well? I bet that is why we saw that rush on the 28th of Dec.

if this is true then you speak better than myself and my buddy...lol. We did the same and our transfers were approved along the same timelines as the sheet predicts.
 
59888xx Initiated Aug. 8th 2022, approved Jan. 12th 2023. Ontario B to Ontario P. My last one.....for now. Good luck and patience to everyone still waiting.

The highest we had today was 59895XX. Started Aug 9th, approved today, B2C. We didn't get that many from the 9th in today but we did get a bunch that were dated 1 to 2 weeks ago. I'm assuming they were problem ones and ones that went to the registry.

Just want to give a shout out to the dealers in all this who have kept communication open or helping to fill in numbers on our little sheet here. I have noticed a few nice things amongst all the hate and paranoia that is the gun world and just wanted to recognize the efforts, and let them know that have not gone unnoticed. I dont want to fill up this thread with names so will start a different thread elsewhere, but there are still dealers giving stellar customer service and providing excellent communication.
