308s, moose, tikkas, and other boring ####

have to beadblast and assemble my latest project..a stainless 700 with a 25" SS King light sporter tube in 22-250 in a Wildcat stock.

Have a long stainless 70 action here and another stainless lightweight barrel ordered in a 30 cal...it'll be an '06 in a Wildcat stock...hoping it'll come in at 7-1/2#'s max with a Talley's and a 3-9X Leupy.....

then I have to stop by the local shop some nite and pickup a Tikka in 308...might draw a moose tag next yerar....:dancingbanana:
 
Thanks manbearpig. I hope to buy that right after my 375 ruger the new king.lol. id like the 9.3x62 but i guess the 308 win will do. So ive heard it might kill moose. Is that right?lol

I'll repair the small crack at the tang, bed it, shoot it, (after finding brass) then likely call up Brownells for a new unfinished walnut stock that I can put it on. Hopefully, that should get me through the rest of the winter. I've also got to put an ejector on my rebarrelled savage, and try to see if I can get its WSM mag to feed .204 ruger.

the 308 was cool long before you came around, port Alice. And ive always wanted one now my girl driend wants to shoot so its a good rifle for her.

9.3x62 Husky already reblued, scope and base mount, timney trigger, bolt mod, inletting new laminate stock, bedding, sand and oil stock. Working on reloads

Tikka 300WSM scope and limbsaver.

6.5x55 reblue, waiting on choate stock, bedding, polish trigger group or timney. working on reloads

Stevens 223 bedding job, reloads

old Sears .22 pass on to me, sand and restain stock, float barrel, and glass bed.

1000 rounds of 223 brass to deprime, clean, trim, swage, champer, prime, and load. Oh my. *shakes head* and building out my reloading work and reloading bench. crap

30.06 From Tradex should be coming in this week, more fiddling around.

Marlin Guide Gun coming back from Smith this week after being having action refinished. Need to install receiver sight.

I still have another gun with a Smith in Toms Lake but I cant get a hold of him anymore, he might of got kidnapped by Aliens. Still contemplating what I will do next.
 
I'm waiting for my .338 700 to come back from being Gunkoted :), and still looking around for a rifle for the wife, in .260, .7mm08 or .308, still undecided.
 
Well i have a couple of new projects id like to tackle when i get the time. Id like to restock a 264 Win Mag i just picked up with a nice handmade stock and put a good scope on to it. I would also like to replace the firing pin in my 71 browning when i get the part. Also a whole wack of reloading.
 
Got a few pieces up for sale on the EE, waiting for a 6.5x55 T3 to arrive, doing some preliminary scope shopping for the T3...2.5-8x in Zeiss, Leupold, or similar size in something else, longing for summer mornings at the range testing out Barnes TSX 130 and/or 140 gr loads in the 6.5... enjoying coffee with Carolans while reading and daydreaming about other hunting and fishing stuff.
