On CZ's website they've shown a version of the OEM handguard which is full picatinny on the bottom, if it could be inquired about when you talk to them it would be appreciated!

Which website shows this?? I've checked CZUSA and CZUB and could not find it

Is that the shorty converted? I’m hoping that’s not what I am getting with the 16 converted to the 18.5?

My understanding is the 16" conversions will have the longer handguard. This is likely what the 11" conversions will look like with the 18.6" barrel. I think someone mentioned that HBI makes a longer handguard that will accommodate the gas adjuster on the 11" set-up.

WTF is your problem? All I said that I would rather miss out, then get the US version converted.

I didn't say anything positive about Trudeau, and I'm looking forward to day that he gets kicked out of parliament. I'm not for the bans and I'm all for current restrictions to be removed or drastically lessened. So I don't see where your comment came from.

Then buy and enjoy what you want regardless of their bull#### bans. Otherwise you are playing into their non sense. The more Non Restricted FA in the communities hands the better.

Go back and read your post. I quoted it for you in my initial response.

You said "would rather miss out on the Bren 2 entirely if they are banned before CZ can deliver than to get the US version."

So are we expecting these to ship before July 1st? I've got 1000 rounds ready for a Canada Day Bren 2 test.

AS the other guy said, "only 1000?!?" In all honesty though, some of us have been shooting Bren 2s since IRG first sold them back in Jun of last year. I'm guessing that I am well beyond 1K rounds at this point...

Thats great, but you really can't blame people for being hesitant to buy a restricted firearm these days, considering...

If you can afford the eventual loss should it come to that, then there's no reason not to live your life as you see fit for as long as you are possibly able to do so. If the $$ are a big deal to you that you absolutely cannot afford to lose? Perhaps you need to stick to manually-operated firearms for the time being. That, or find another, "safer" hobby altogether....

Nothing is safe, and there is little advantage to a NR mag-fed centerfire semi-automatic rifle if all such rifles are banned regardless of barrel length.

This doesn't have anything to do with money, and you're clearly missing the point here which should be plainly obvious. It's a lot harder to be non compliant with registered turned prohibited firearms, isn't it. Some of us would rather have it and not lose it, regardless of whatever dumb law the flavour of the day government comes up with.

Great hostile assumptions on your part though, just completely missed the court is all.

I like the way you think pardner....( : Like I keep trying to drill into the masses, nothing gets cheaper or easier.

Not much to update here except to let y'all know that the rifles have been taken down, all barrels removed. We are noticing that CZ has upgraded some of the components as well. The gas pistons are a different shape and have also been chrome plated, lol. So very shiny.....

Trunnions and gas blocks are also machined as well as some other small tweaks. Nothing more to report but once I have the barrels in hand I will post again with that as an update.

Hang tight guys, things are coming together even if it isn't as fast as we would all like.

Quick update

We are now setup with HB industries to import any Handguards and other Accessories for the CZ Bren 2 rifles, check out their goods here and let me now if you want us to order anything, prices TBA.

For those asking about longer handguards for the 11" converted Bren rifle we can offer HB industries CZ Bren 2 Handguard 13.8″ M-Lok. This handguard is very close to the length of the handguard from the 16" rifles:
