Chances are absolute zero for 40 S&W. I mean, if you had a Ruger PC Carbine that was built for 40 S&W we could open up the discussion.
There is a direct correlation between the cartridge energy and the mass of the bolt, simply changing the barrel will break your gun as you use it.

I really want one of these. I look forward to the 2nd set of mounting hardware - it would be nice to have two barrel options without having to remount the takedown equipment.

We won't sell the barrels without the mounting hardware. We discussed it, and just not something we're comfortable with.
Fortunately, we are literally ripping through the mounting hardware production.

Are the muzzle brakes available for purchase now?

The hard swap to manufacturing all of the PC carbine takedown hardware instead of ordering it, has bumped these muzzle devices behind a little bit. I had hoped they would be available to ship by now, and they are partway through production. I'd figure 3-5 weeks from now they should be available, and I'll get products up on the website later today for anyone who wants to order one.

I REALLY like this barrel!
shoots great, supper good fit and finish!
its a 9" barrel, threaded with a thread protector and everything cerakoated together so it all matches.
and I believe its from the first batch of the ATRS made mounting stuff not the Ruger stuff.
