i on the other hand have both but prefer my chinese 1965 , why? cos the 65 reminds me what the russian looks like before the black paint refurb , nice workmenship and bluing.

well, i have a different opinion why the quality decreased, it was the vietnam war . in 65 the US increased their ground forces from 20,000 to 200,000 in that one year and china was the main supplier of small arms to vietnam so it was a matter of quality vs. quantity.
oh really? I'd always thought the Soviets were the main supplier. .
Now that I think about it, it does make more sense; since the shipping cost of transporting small arms from Soviet Russia to Vietnam would've been nuts.
The Yugo M59 kicks the snot out of an M59/66AB1 for metal work and finish.
so thats a good thing right?
