1970's straight grip Marlins......

1977 vintage 1894 in 44 Mag with Williams sight
1976 vintage 336 in 30-30 with 2.5-8X ScopeChief VI
1979 vintage 1895 in 45-70 with 1-4X Leupold

now, I'd like to find an 1894 in 25-20.....

actually of the two that I bought from P&D this one has the plainer wood...sold the other before I fired it....this one has had maybe 40 rounds thru it now...

The scoped M39A Mountie is 1958, and the receiver sighted model is 1960.

Haven't even shot it yet - although I think my dies are at the post office. So it won't be going anywhere for a little while anyway

Salty, you know this but that 1894 is not your average Marlin 44 Mag...it's an "1894 Sporter" model, less than 1500 of them built in 1973.....21" barrel, short mag tube, dovetailed front site......not many of those around.....

can you put up a pic for us?...I'm sure lots of guys have never heard of them , let alone have seen one...

Anyways, I'll add this to my list of reasons to get my camera issues sorted out It is a cool little rifle - almost CGN rifle #### worthy

I haven't fired it yet..just got on Tuesday. I am going to run somw WW whitebox factory loads thru it this weekend.

The Winchester white boxes work great in mine. I found 3 boxes today for $16 a box. Only $2 more a box than the 22 mag ammo I bought today
