Salty, you know this but that 1894 is not your average Marlin 44 Mag...it's an "1894 Sporter" model, less than 1500 of them built in 1973.....21" barrel, short mag tube, dovetailed front site......not many of those around.....
can you put up a pic for us?...I'm sure lots of guys have never heard of them , let alone have seen one...
