350 Legend

Still a light 350 Legend rifle can deliver 11 lbs of felt recoil with heaiver loads. My 6.5 Creedmoor kicks less. .

Not in a comparably weighted package, it doesn't. It's almost the same, but a Creed shooting either a 120 at 3127 or a 140 at 2600 in a 7lb package vs a 350 shooting 180s at 2079 in a 7lb package will always end up with the Creed recoiling almost 20% more. The perceived difference between 11 and 13 can be debated, but the numbers don't lie.

My Ruger GSR .350 legend is a pussycat to shoot and very accurate with Winchester 150gr ammo and the Hornady FTX. Very handy little package.

I'd say "then don't push em that fast" but not everyone is a handloader so that option might not exist. Fair point! And as others have pointed out before and in other threads, 40 grains of powder out a 6.5mm hole and 25 grains of powder out a 9mm hole have very different blast/noise.

Have to admit, getting REALLY curious about the 350 as a "deer only" and plinking rifle. The 20" Weatherby Vanguards especially.

diemaco, the GSR must be a heck of a rifle! How's it feed from the mag? nice and smooth?

I am looking at the Vanguard too, they are in Canada.

These are nice too, but none up here that I can find.
CVA Cascade XT, Bolt Action Rifle, 350 Legend, 22" Threaded Barrel, 5/8X24 Thread Pattern, Realtree Hillside Camo Stock, Black Graphite Cerakote Finish, 4 Rounds

Nice! The Cascades are cool rifles. Had one for a bit in a different chambering.

Still just kinda having a hard time with the "whats it gonna do that 7.62x39 aint for me right now" sense...but hey, its fun, right?

Chiappa now makes a Big Badger, available in 410, 30-30, and 350 Legend. Not in country yet as far as I know of, but should be a real cheap way to give 350L a try if one wanted to.

And risk injury during use in higher pressure chamberings like 350 Legend. These Badger boils should not be on the market. The H&R single shots should still be.

Pointy bullets feed very well (Winchester DeerSeason XP and Hornady FTX). The cone shaped bullets don't feed as well all the time. Luckily my barrel also seems to prefer pointy bullets.

Thanks! I was really curious as to how they would work from that setup!

If the gun likes to shoot those ones and they do well on game, cool.

Lookin at Youtube reviews and gel tests, and Mogulrider's posts on Nova Scotia Hunting, I'm hoping the Weatherby likes Winchester 180gr soft points and Barnes 170 grain TSX.

Should I buy a 350 legend

Well I`m thinking of buying a Howa 1500 mini in 350 legend,my question is how is the availability of ammo for this calibre,I`m in the Ottawa area and things are getting hard to come by.Thanks and Merry Christmas to all

They seem to have made a big impact on the market and considering they come from an early stage of 223 Rem brass, its cost effective.

Haven't seen any Ottawa area shops in a while but its everywhere I look at when I order ammo online. Stock up!

And either as cheap or cheaper than any box of 308 or 6.5 CM ammo I bought this year.

Doubt its going anywhere soon.
