All-New: Type 81M

Ordered mine a week ago, still "order received" seriously... how long does it take to ship a gun???

Ordered the first night, got the RCMP notice 5 days ago... no Shipping yet. They received a ton of orders, probably sold a few palates of them and are now scrambling to process them all. I'm rather surprised there's still stock of the Underfolder, but it seems the Fixed was in higher demand and/or lower stock numbers.

I just hope my card doesn't get charged and I get the bill before I receive the order...

Good info. Looks like the time from the RCMP notice to shipping is longer than 5 days (7 days?). I'm just behind you #270XX. I got my RCMP notice yesterday. So, at least 7 more day (perhaps 8-9) to shipping. Now I can wait happily.

A mass order of the same product will all get processed by TI, pick up will be arranged with canada post, because they'll probably need a god damn semi trailer. And then we will all start to receive our tracking numbers. Be thankful and have some patience.

I think the difference between scalpers and TI is the amount of effort required to source their product. Yes both of them are charging a substantial markup, but TI has to source them, ship them, deal with poly, quality control etc... They bear all the risk. Whatever their markup is, I am happy to pay it because its a fair price to pay for all their hard work and because they bring unique value to the Canadian gun market. The scalper on the other hand bears little risk and adds no value to the gun community. I personally do not see the fact that he purchased it quicker than others as worth 1300 dollars.

The scalper that everyone is mocking like they’re a bunch of 15 year old high school girl put out over $25, 000 to buy ten of each model. What if people end up being disappointed in the underfolders and theyre slow to sell for even the retail price. In the meantime the government sh!ts their pants and prohibits type 81’s and he’s stuck with eight or ten unsalable guns. He’s taken considerable risk. I get the feeling that all the little girls in this thread are hourly paid employees piling on an entrepreneur (hustler? Haha) for being savvy.

I've seen two T81M fixed stocks that were both slightly canted to the right. Seems to only be the wood buttstock that is not carved perfectly straight.

Anyone look down their rifles from both ends at arms length and see the slight bow?

Almost all fixed stocks have some slight off angle to the stocks, it seems. (Receiver and barrel alignment usually appear perfect)

Personally I can't stand anything not perfectly straight.

one of mine showed up missing the magazine release and a wee bit damaged............., sent email, I'm sure they will make it right, they always have

Based on all of the enthusiasm expressed for the underfolder T81, I can only surmise that those demanding that style of Buttstock have never fired a rifle equippped with one. The Underfolder AK (now T81) Buttstock is the least ergonomic, most uncomfortable and unnaturally-fitting stock that I can think of. It truly is that bad. I understand desire for that which one does not have, but in this case you guys lusting after the underfolder are horribly misguided. Whoever told you guys that putting an underfolder on a T81 was a good idea was an abject liar! Poly Tech must have had a bunch of spare stocks sitting around in need of a host....

Sorry to burst your bubbles fellas, but those underfolders are a dog's breakfast as far as ergos are concerned. Stand-by for bruised cheekbones. Ask me how I know....
