All-New: Type 81M

Everything looks nice and straight, wood is about as I expected... looked like crap out of the box, put a few drops of BLO on it and cleaned/oiled it up a bit and it came around. It's not quite that orange with the naked eye, I like the figure on the one side of the buttstock.

Well here is the discrepancy. anyone that shoots at targets will understand and agree.
if in all targets you are aiming at the bulls eye and not adjusting anything or changing the ammo it is impossible to get these king of groups.
Here is why aiming at the bulls eye four targets are below lets say bullet drop, the one on the lower left the bullets rise somehow, regardless the group. At 30m the difference between the upper left and the lower left is 4 moa, at 100m it would be like 13 moa difference between them, how exactly did you get this?

It's called point of aim (POA). Maybe read up on that !

My magazine is like a rattle can while inserted. Pretty loose fitting, thought it was going to fall out just walking with it in the house. Is everyone's tight or is it just me, loose tolerances? I remember my numerous VZ/CZ 58's being a snug fit, this is my first T81.

Your mag isn't inserted correctly. Could be the cause of your wobbly mags lol.

Damn, you are correct. Oily hands... it's fine. I'm one of the boneheads piling on, eh :runaway:

Pretty pleased to be honest. Might not even strip the wood, looks fine as it is. I did like the look of the older style, reddish furniture though. Will see.

From those pics, it doesn't look like your magazine is in correctly. I could be wrong but I think you need to take it out and re-insert it with more of a "rock and lock" style. Tilt the magazine backward, insert the front in deep and then rock it rearward. You shouldn't see any of the steel reinforced top part when the mag is inserted properly.

Look at your pics, and then look at the way a properly inserted mag looks:

That might explain the loose fitting and rattle.

Have to admit, it's going to be a very hard choice whether to sell the new underfolder or the side folder I have. Honestly think I'm going to keep the old one. Fit and finish seem better, as is the trigger, feels nicer in the hand ( slimmer/ lighter )
And definitely less barrel heavy. I think the only think the new one has going for it is looks and sight radius.

Any pics side by side? Just interested in the differences.

Perhaps you can keep both, my guy.

The fact you think 4 moa at 30m is 13 moa at 100m shows you know absolutely nothing about shooting lmfao.

Came with a little damage as well, but not going to bother complaining....
Think the deciding factor will be the stock.. can't get used to the wobble on the underfolder, feels cheap,
Any way to tighten it up?
The side folder is so much nicer that way.

**** Would like to edit this, after punching out the pin and tightening the nut my side folder has 0 slop or play. Think the decision is going to be tough.. the original sa is less barrel heavy... and a nicer color wood.. but otherwise the new one looks better.****

Also ti is sending a new grip for the damge. Kudos to them
