I always liked the Haga defense adapter for the Zhukov, was a good fit on the mk2, wonder how it would look on the mk3We also still have our fixed and Zhukov stock adapters.
Now THAT looks good!I always liked the Haga defense adapter for the Zhukov, was a good fit on the mk2, wonder how it would look on the mk3
Thinking this new stock from HD would be good on the mk3 as well
Any chance of manufacturing them with the ADKAS SAM bar type retractable stock? We also still have our fixed and Zhukov stock adapters.
beauty of the 1913 rail for stock attachment, looks like that stock might directly bolt up to the mk3 (and a variety of others)Any chance of manufacturing them with the ADKAS SAM bar type retractable stock?

For sporting rifle it's not critical, however I would like to see my sporting rifle following the best military practices, which are in turn just common sense practices. HKs did not see battle testing on the significant scale, and I don't know what HK designers were thinking when they decided to use extra tool. However, probably every single design hardened by war, created at war or right after post war either had tool-less take-down or was heavily criticized by lack of it.All the commercial HK MR223A? MR556A1 and LE HK416 are shipped hex/flat and multi-tools for many many years. As long as it is fool proof and cannot be stripped it is fine. No one ever complaints about HK MR and 416. The receiver / handguard top " male/female" interface ( which everyone copied including R18 I thiink ) makes sure LAD will retain zero. In reality there isn't a need to take that thing off everytime to clean the piston rod and cup. It is like stripping carbon off the AR bolt tail it is time best invested on drinking beer IMHO.
I personally am loving the feedback from the CGN crowd. For sporting rifle it's not critical, however I would like to see my sporting rifle following the best military practices, which are in turn just common sense practices. Essentially we all provide our feedback here and then vote with our $$$. It's up to manufacturer to listen or not. So far I am glad manufacturer is listening.
I don't think it's correct to compare scrubbing of carbon off AR bolt with cleaning of gas system.
There is nothing to clean in these short stroke push rod system without a turnable regulator - like people just wipe the outside of the piston cup and push rod. There is no need to scrap or remove every bit of carbon off the piston after every hundred rounds. There is no turnable regulator in the 18/180 so there is no worry if it is not reasonably clean it becomes impossible to pry it off later on.I don't think it's correct to compare scrubbing of carbon off AR bolt with cleaning of gas system.
What if the rifle fell in the mud and now there's a lot of dirt under the handguard that should be removed? Sure, rile will work until some point if neglected. I like to take care about my firearms, I don't go crazy with scrubbing, but I clean residues and lubricate with CLP. I rely on my experience, my understanding on how mechanical things work and on manuals. They tool less handguard is in process.Just too add some more critique,
Although that adjustable and QD stock mount is cool, I'd trade it for a folding charging handle or tool less handguard removal.
Maybe Bartok can chime in on the charging handle, it looks even more stabby than the mk2 version in the pictures
I have yet to see a quality firearm come from Turkey. I will be holding off for a while on these due to this. I don't care what type of facility they are produced in. I don't think the turks have the capability of properly running and maintaining these CNC machines. I hope this company proves me wrong as it's a well priced and sweet looking rifle. The "turkey' leavs a sour taste in mouth
Pretty uninformed take. You’ve never heard of Canik, MKE or TISAS? Yes, there are some terrible Turkish firearms.. but a lot of major brands use the Turkish manufacturing to some degree. Honestly, the Turkish have a better track record than Canadians when it comes to manufacturing firearms
