Canuck Operator Elite (M4 clone)...

Rev Arms manual is crap, so is Canuck...looks like Canuck is Inertia.
Here is a replacement barrel for Rev Arms, shows same gas system as Hunt Group

Hmmm... BBB just said the Canuck Operator Elite is ARGOS and everything I've read also says it's gas. Now I don't know what to think, though it IS an M4 clone, and the M4 uses the ARGOS system. Sure would help if O'Dell specified on their website.

Ii thought the same, till bought my 1301, using sezzle. It's as good as a M4, shoots faster, has chokes and cheaper. Bought mine new for $1600. It's appreciated to $1800+. Shoot a 1301 and youll see why it's not only fun, but arguably the best semimauto on the market.

FWIW, I've seen the 1301 Tactical and A300 Ultima Patrol mentioned a lot in all the stuff I've been reading so I've started looking into both. I still want an M4 clone, but am taking serious look at the other two as well. If I can get one on sale I might be able to live with the guilt.

The guilt quickly becomes elation.

I would have nothing to do with the A300 patrol. No rear sight adjustment🤦 & only a single action bar👎

Just stick with the Canuck, it's the only Turkish shotty that comes with a 3 yr warranty. & you can buy 2 for the price of a patrol, 1301 or Mossberg

Not a whole lot. The Mossberg semis seem to get very mixed reviews.
My friend group including myself have 7 different models of the Mossberg 940.
2 pro field, I have the 24” barrel pro turkey, 1 thunder ranch 940 pro, one 940 tactical upgraded, and finally two friends with the original cobalt 940 pro.
All have been wonderful with the exception of the 940 tactical which refuses to eat 2 3/4” target loads. That same friend opted to sell and buy an operator elite and it cycles everything. He also added a Midwest industries forend which fit with slight modification.

Based on what I’m seeing. I would recommend the operator elite as a fun, reliable, reasonably priced replacement for a benelli.

Happy shooting.

Yep, the Canuck is pretty much a definite buy for me at this point. The other two are just considerations for later if I happen to love semi auto shotguns. All I have are 590s right now.

I didn't know the Canuck came with a 3 year warranty. Not one listing from any of the online stores I looked at stated this. I don't get why details like this aren't advertised in the listings.

For transparency I own a 1301 Tac
So how come you're trying to talk me out of one? Lol

Nothing wrong with the 590.👍

😂🤣 I'm not, you spend your money how you wish.

That’s very strange for the 940 Tactical, my friends 940 Tactical is fed a steady stream of 2 3/4” target loads and eats them without complaint every time

I've owned a Canuck Operator "Elite" for a couple years now. I bought it as an inexpensive range toy without having very high expectations.

The shotgun has surprised me in that it has ran flawlessly for about 900 shells. It didn't require any break-in period and would cycle target loads from the start without issue.

Same with 00 buck, slugs etc. no issues. I have taken a deer with it.

I'm at the point now where I am wanting more of a premium semi-auto with nicer touch points. I will likely sell the Canuck and pick up a 1301.

I'm watching a video breakdown of the A300UP right now titled "Beretta A300 Ultima Patrol: Underwhelming". I see what you're saying now. This guy is pointing out every design flaw and cut corner and man it's ugly for what this gun currently sells for. Perhaps it used to be a good deal, but with only a $200 price difference between it and the 1301 now, it seems very clear which is the better buy.

This is what I was talking about earlier in the thread. If I paid $1600 for an A300UP and had the issue he had where the cheap POS plastic barrel clamp slid after a couple dozen rounds and scratched my barrel I'd be livid. Add everything else he points out on top of that and I'd regret my purchase 100%. Just seems like a gun that they should be selling for several hundred dollars less than it is, yet they're charging almost the same price as the 1301 for it. Doesn't make sense from a consumer standpoint.

This is going off memory, I bought one of the first gens back in 21 or 22. It didn't want to cycle at all. I had to take the bolt out and file something that was round, to give it a square edge. Instructions were online.
Every since it runs like a champ. Feeds anything I put in it and I'll admit I never give it the proper care and cleaning it deserves.
