Canuck Operator Elite (M4 clone)...

The 500 round burn downs were interesting, but they literally take the shotgun out of the box and try and fire 500 rounds through it.
They come packed in ####ty preservation oil, it's thick as hell, they all need a good clean and lube then go run the 500 rounds and see what happens.
Like an SKS, one of the most durable and reliable designs, come packed in ####, you couldn't get 10 rounds through one of those if you didn't clean it and lube it up first lol

This is an issue I have with James Reeves as well. We learned [in Canada, anyway] with Norinco guns and other 3-rd world guns, that they need to be cleaned, properly lubed and maybe deburred a bit before we can be reasonably objective about how well a gun works. Reeves also seems to feel that a 'quality gun' should accept every kind and quality of ammunition without fail. IMO decent quality ammo is a must in any gun, and trying to shoot dogcrap shells through a semi-auto is dumb.

Owning a gun that can't be relied on to discharge it's intended cartridge when asked to...is what's dumb.

I've run an SKS that had it's barrel filled with congealed fluid film (dry wax). I wanted to see if it would kaboom, and it ran like a champ. I didn't have a great perspective as I was shooting, but the jaws on onlookers dropped, and one guy came up to me and asked if I cleaned the cosmo out before shooting it. Your statement is simply false. Done it, been there, she ran without a hiccup...with the cheapest crap military ball ammo around at that time.
