I would appreciate actual CGN members who own this rifle to way in please. My son is really wanting this rifle. He likes the tacticool aspect. If it gets him pumped for his bday I’m all about it. He also likes the GSG but I’ve done my homework and that one is out.

Real world experience please. I’ve watched the videos, looks reliable. This will be a plinking gun and use take off optics from my AR’s. Thank you for any input if you have experience with the firearm.

If you have another suggestion please share.

Cheers

Current setup. Great gun, love it. Put a few hundred rounds through it already. Pretty accurate, and fun if you just want to empty a mag quickly. Easy to take apart and clean. Only use cci minimag as seems to be the most reliable. Havent had any feeding issues, flyers or failure to fire unlike a few other brands ive tested. Irung uns used to sell the 25 round mags for pretty cheap if you wanted more. Another good semi auto .22 is the cz 512 Tactical. That is pretty fun and very accurate as well.

I consider it money well spent. It loves a quicker ammo like Blaser. I unfortunately bought the first generation with the buffer problem. One quick email to warranty people got me the replacement parts within a week. No hassle ,no fuss. Shoots like a dream . I use a 3x9 scope,on mine

I notice you have the Vortex system on yours, any problems or “wish you would have done something else”

i wouldnt say the spare mags are cheap, even thru irunguns but other wise i agree with pretty much what i've heard so far.

Highly recommend the RIA (Armscor) TM-22 Feather version of Derya: https://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/threads/armscor-derya-tm22-feather.2438899/. This is the most "tacticool" version as it can be. The entire rifle, except the barrel and a few other parts is made from reinforced polymer. Very light (Feather). IMHO it is a better design than its aluminum counterpart. Very ergonomic. It used to be available for purchase on the IRUNGUNS website for quite a long time but it suddenly disappeared now. You can always buy it on their US side, though.

I have a first gen Derya TM 22 and a CZ 512, the non-tactical wood stock version. Both are reliable, but the CZ is more accurate. That said, the Derya is a fun plinker and reasonably accurate, just not as tight a grouper as the CZ.

I own the TM22 and the GSG-16.

Both are great. Some guys on this forum have incredible round counts down the GSG.

The down side of the TM22 is the absurdly long barrel - I run a reverse faux suppressor and a lower cost Amazon fakcog on it.

I have enjoyed mine very much, cheap to run, accurate and very dependable so far.
I have used it for Speed Steel, and in a few 2Gun/3Gun/IDPA events where .22 caliber was allowed. It has been run hard all day long at a Youth Day and a Ladies Day events at a local range. At the Ladies Day there were over 100 shooters and that Derya was by far the most popular rifle, it ran non stop all day. I would estimate conservatively 4-5000 rounds thru it at this point, probably more but I don’t keep a running total. I’ve had a few good buddies that have also purchased a TM-22 and everyone has been impressed. I would recommend these rifles for sure

That is a beauty, and that pretty much mirrors our experience around here with those TM22's.

Thank you all for the feedback. Glad to hear people are happy. This is the rifle my son has his heart set on. Good advice on the feather tho thank you. Also the reverse suppressor look was in our plans as well. Thanks all.

My daughter and her friends just love it! And so do I. Also had gsg 16 loved it too but sold it to buy this , pretty much straight across and no regrets. Also a few 3? Thousand down the pipe. If you don’t clean it that often it gums up but some g96 on the bolt carrier at the range gets you up and running if it won’t cycle until you get home to clean it. Obviously not as accurate as a bolt but still quite accurate, I personally run an lpvo but you already have optics and of course everyone runs what they like! I would definitely recommend as well.

i would advised against getting the feather, all its is the cheap plastic version. if you want cheap then get the TM22 standard, about $230 shipped.
