I casted 405 grn bullets with a lee mold 50/50 wheel weights to pure lead and a touch of tin. I powder coated them with princess auto powder but have since switched to tool blue. I was actually able to recover one of these this year from a doe I shot hard quartering away it doubled in size and kept 100% of its weight penatrated roughly 42 inches round was loaded with 47 grns of 3031 estimated 1650 fpsWhat are you using for bullets? Yeah unfortunately I have suffered a few to many shots without eat protection as well but I am getting much better at remembering to get the muffs on b4 shooting hofully it's not to late^ Good to see you're wearing ear pro. I do now too, though a tad late. My boys have since day one. It sucks being almost deaf.
I have some 300rook brass I acquired at the time I got the gun, from a gun show in Cgy, it is Bertram, I think. Used 32Long Colt for it too. I had a 90gr mould made at LBT for bullets. Works great on gophers.What do you use for ammo in the 300 rook?

I have a Heym 44b in .270 Win. When I first got it I wasn’t impressed with how it shot but after a little tweaking it shoots very well. I haven’t shot any game with it yet.
