I run guns or Arms east should be able to get you what you wantI'm in the same boat, trying to decide which BCG to buy. Any advice? I'm looking between... Failzero milspec nickel boron, Lantac M-spec TiN, Lantac M-Spec Black Nitride or Aero precision pro series black nitride... BCM, geissele, LMT, Sionics most others are unavailable right now.
I think Arms east might have a couple listedI just got my Crypto upper and lower receiver today. Been looking at the Lantic Tin BCG and the Geissele BCG's. I would like to go with a 20' heavy barrel but they seem pretty rare? Maybe I'm not looking in the right places.
Ok, I will have a look there, thanks!I think Arms east might have a couple listed

It took me a minute to figure out what you meant but I got it now! Thanks!Az t ech ar mories has one
I got mine today as well. Mine is black and has some machining marks in the same place yours has. Other than that, it seems to be good quality.Receiver set arrived today, not purple and overall it looks good but some of the machining marks at either end of the ejection port and by the bolt catch pin hole are excessive. It shouldn't affect function but for $1000 I would think they should be able to do better. On the bright side it won't matter much if I make some marks putting it together seeing as the finish is not perfect to start with. Can't say I remember any of the AR15 receivers I've built having marks on them like these.
1) If you like spending $$$, buy the Aimpoint. If you're not sure about a red dot, the SIG Romeo 5x can be had for ~$200 on sale from Cabelas and is a great value that isn't too pricey until you know for sure what you want. As always, YMMV. You won't go wrong with an Aimpoint, aside from the cost. Not sure if this is in the correct thread, so please forgive me if I've chosen the wrong one.
I purchased an upgraded Crypto from RDSC and am expecting it to be delivered this week. This will be my first AR15-type gun, so I would really appreciate some guidance. (I have bolt action hunting rifles, .22s, and a shotgun.)

1. I was considering the Aimpoint Micro T2 red dot & Scalarworks LEAP01 at 1.57" height mount. Will be shooting 200 meters or less to start. Thought a red dot would be a good sight to begin with (can add a magnifier later?) Open to your suggestions, but I prefer to purchase on the higher quality side of optics.
2. For 556 Nato ammunition: are there any brands to avoid? any brands I should gravitate towards? I'm not familiar with the many different brands of 556 ammunition.
3. Can anyone recommend a cleaning kit / tools please?
Am I missing anything? Thank you in advance!
Thank you Mark! I did proceed with the T2 and ordered some PMC 556 Nato ammunition. Your idea of stepping into a less costly red dot option sounds quite smart, though.1) If you like spending $$$, buy the Aimpoint. 2) Some guns don't like the steel cased ammo that much, and you want to get bullet weights that work with whatever twist rate your barrel has, but that's about it.
3) If you already have a .22 cleaning rod it will work fine on .223 and whatever tool set you have now for working on guns should be fine for the Crypto as well. AR bolts come apart easily for maintenance and the rest is also very straightforward.

You will need an upper receiver rod or a modified BEV block to install the barrel onto the upperCan anyone help with what tools I will need to assemble this thing? This is my first AR / crypto build..
I ordered a leapers ar15 wrench and have a vise & torque screwdriver so far.
I need to buy .... 1/2” torque wrench, nickel anti seize.. punch set
anything else?
Is a Midwest upper receiver rod necessary?
